True. They still have a big lead as the 5th seed. It would be a major upset for them to not make the playoffs.
I’m more curious as to how bad they can be. I’d rather the Jags walk away with the division. This place would be insufferable with all the tack fans visiting if it went to the last game.

What part of mularkey's plan did you not understand?

The Jaguars are the BEST team in the AFC South!
and the AFC north! Banana
There will be no repeat of the 1st Titans matchup; we have enough muscle upfront now to stack the box and force Mariota to beat us with his arm. As he demonstrated Thursday, he cannot.
Titans will be lucky to hit 11 wins. I can't see them beating us, and I bet they stumble in one of the other division games too.. They are not playing good football, I see them losing to us, the Rams, and the Colts or Texans. 9-7, with a 5th seed. AFC is pretty weak though, 6th seed could be an 8-8 or another 9 win team.

11 wins would be glorious. And i see the jags losing in arizona next week. In fact i wouldnt be surprised if the jags and titans finish 10-6

Mods, why isn't this guy banned? Wasn't that the wager? lol. You said we would lose to the Browns, 0 credibility! At least we didn't need overtime to beat them.

The terms of the bet were mutually agreed upon and changed (see his signature.)

He's actually the only one out of the six or seven that has bothered to return since the Thursday night thumbtack beat-down. So - he gets a little credit.
No question the Titans are playing inconsistent ball. And after watching the Jags game yesterday, their offense is atrocious. Who knows what the final 6 games look like for either team.

Yea... Because the Titans blew out the Browns right?

No. But they blew out the jags.

And right there in the 4th quarter, with 3 minutes to go, the jags holding on to a 6 point lead, huge jackman took kizer aside and said "son, this is it. Go out there and get your first game winning drive"
Zero cred would be if the jags had blown them out. Browns could have won that game

No. But they blew out the jags.

But but but...that's before they had Dareus.  Next time will be different, I swear.

Should the Jags really be scared of the Titans offense? That's a serious question. Jags have the #1 passing defense and have allowed 50 yards a game on the ground in the last 3.

Point differential is a great indicator of how good a team actually is..... Jags are +104 (best in the AFC) and the Titans are -31. So although the Titans won in week 2, I think most people would say the Jags are the better team. Week 17 might not even matter if the Jags keep taking care of business against teams they should beat.

Who knows.  Depends on whether good Marcus or bad Marcus shows up.  Titans are -31 largely because of 2 really bad losses (Houston and Pittsburgh).  Should the Titans be scared of the Jags offense?  I've only seen them a couple of times this year, but nothing to be scared of based on what I've seen.  If both teams win out or the Titans otherwise remain one game behind the Jags, the last game will be for the division.

I think this team is better than they're playing, and by mid season will be on a roll. With their last half of the schedule easier than the first even a 3-3 start or so puts them on track, providing they win their games in the division.
Do you think the TITANS can go on to compete with the steelers chiefs and pats?

I doubt it.  Those teams have quarterbacks that can expose weaknesses in a team's secondary. The steelers and chefs will complement that with top notch run games as well.

I don't see the tacks' D standing up well to Tyreek Hill/Kareem Hunt or Antonio Brown/L.Bell combinations.
Bilichick and Brady will just identify the weakest spots of the tacks' secondary and attack them relentlessly.

But hey, any given Sunday, right?

Hmmm.  Antonio Brown hung 144 yards and 3 TDs on that vaunted secondary - And Bell tacked on 103 APY.  Just as I suggested they would on the first page of this thread.

That "mid-season roll" seems to have been derailed.
Still think the titans finish around 10-5 at worst.  They have a very easy run in same as us.

Good point. However, that game could have gone another way. Not going to list excuses but the bad Titans were not going to be denied.
The Titans have underperformed this year, no doubt. But they are still in pretty good shape. The Jags have overperformed, which suggests a reversal may be upcoming. The division title will be won in Nashville, and the better team will win it
