@ Colts...should be a close game, so we'll be conservative and say it's a TN loss (6-5)
Texans...TN wins this game by 2+ scores (7-5)
@ Cardinals...TN wins by 7 points (8-5)
@ 49ers...TN should blow them out (9-5)
Rams...assuming the Rams get their act back together, they could hand TN another loss (9-6)
Jaguars...we'll be conservative again and say TN loses (9-7)

9-7 would be good enough for the final WC spot, since TN has key H2H tiebreaks over Seahawks and Ravens.

I'm just hoping we can somehow steal the 2nd seed and avoid having to play TN in the wildcard round.

Either 9-7 or 10-6 seems like the most realistic possibility for Tennessee to finish the season with.

A 9-7 record probably will be enough for a team to be a wildcard in the AFC,  maybe even the first wildcard.  Though my opinion could change one or more times in the coming weeks,  today I believe the 6th seed team in the AFC will end up with an 8-8 record.

I believe you are right. Im not very confident they can go into indy and get a win. They may change my mind if they ever truly start playing like we thought they might.

Sometimes 8-8.

I hope so, that means the Jags will get at least 2 rounds of playoff football. Well, 1 real round and the tacks. But still, we will take it.
I guess the answer to this thread is "good enough"
Tough loss for the Jags today, but what fun would it be if that season finale wasnt a division title game? I hope it plays out that way. The winner gets the title and the loser still gets a wildcard. I love this rivalry.

It's starting to look like a real possibility.

Glad the rivalry has been revived as well.
I expect the Titans to start playing better finally. There's been some media attention this week, calling out their offense, or lack of. Mariota's so much better on play action, yet they barely use it. Also, the Henry/Murray rotation. Fans have been saying it all season and Mularkey seems hard headed and set on demarco getting 1.8 yards all day long.
I've seen it before, certain media outlets say certain things and mularkey listens. Or someone does.
So i predict those two things change this wk. More henry, and more play action on "running" downs. Whether it helps or not....
If Mariota could return to playing 2016 football; than the Titans could become a very deadly team with the run game in the playoffs.
Could your craptastic team quit tripping and falling into victories please. Thanks.
Another comeback won against a trash team. I swear, the tacks do not look like a good team, but somehow keep winning
How bout them Titans and jags, both looking like playoff teams. Haha
I'd put Ramsey on Walker and let Bouye and Colvin cover the r receivers. Make Mary heat us without his safety blanket.
By the time the Titans beat the jags week 17, they will be playing good ball
Titans keep first place heading to a week 17 showdown in Nashville. Bottom line is who will want the title more?

Just concede that the tacks are not a playoff team. Don't want to embarass yourselves if you fall blindly into a playoff spot.
Lol still in first place

Finding ways to win. 8-4 sounds like a playoff team to me

Correction...the teams you have played are finding ways to lose. While you can't argue the record, the way it came about has been teams giving games away. Not playoff football in my opinion.

Yes all these teams the titans are beating have gotten together to gift the titans a playoff run. Happens all the time

Titans have the same record as the jags and they beat the jags senseless in sacksonville. Titans have the edge

Yep, that's exactly what I said. With your deductive logic, it's no mystery why no team wants your services.  I suppose you are now relegated to stroking your dog at your Montana cabin.

Keep hanging on to that week two win and we'll see you in week 17...
The titans and Jaguars are an interesting contrast. They'll both make the playoffs and both will participate in the first round. I find it easy to believe both teams could lose in the first round if the titans win the division and the Jaguars are on the road at KC or Los Angeles. If the Jaguars get the home game I could see them advancing.

Either way I can't see the titans going past the divisional round under any circumstances while the Jaguars could. It's just about how the team's are made and what they're good against. I could easily see the Jaguars beating the Steelers again while I can't see the titans not getting the crap beat out of them by any team with a great QB on the road.

The titans are a team that built to grind out close games against teams without great QBs. Against great QBs they've lost big.

The Jaguars are the opposite, they're built to take down teams that have great QB play instead of teams that just try to run the ball and stop the run. If the Jaguars had a franchise level passer they'd probably be in the running for the #1 seed in the playoffs instead of possibly a wildcard. The difference is the Jaguars have an actual shot once they're in the playoffs to upset a team or two.
Styles make fights. Right now Jax is built to stop Pitt and NE. TN is another kind of animal. TN D is playing well. Their run D is filthy. Clowney is playing lights out got schooled today and had three offsides and DID nothing all game. Lewan owned him. Not good news for Jax. I think when Jax plays Sea and TN plays Rams we will see something break one way or another. TN is playing really tight nasty foot ball and that build character. Jax D is playing lights out and Bortles remains the achilles heel. As soon as you stop the run game Bortles has to make it happen. Texans won't be an easy out on D but their OL is really a mess and I think that is why Jax wins. I think TN will play another two ugly games in AZ and SF. But Mariota is getting more healthy. We saw it today with his wheels. First time he ran a long time.

Clowney was MIA. TN OT are playing well again. This is another factor that makes TN a tough out for Chargers and Jax. They can neutralize your strenght and they don't play into the CB strenght. It is all gonna come down to who plays better Mariota or Bortles.
