You keep taking that 10 sack game away ( forgetting about the other 10 sack game, btw), then creating new averages.  Assuming they would have had ‘0’ that game.  Makes no sense one bit.  Also not sure why you bash fans thinking our team is good while boasting about your team.  As if they’ve been that great in recent years..

Whatever
I didn’t see that game.  But I’m not exactly surprised either.   He good.  I won’t say he isn’t.  But they seem beatable.   It’ll be a good game when they face off with the Jags
How about the Seattle vs Houston game? Wilson drove them down the field to win them the game with Watson playing his best ball.

Titans will beat the jags three times this year. Thats the only stat that matters.

At the beginning of the season I had ‘0’ faith in him.  Now,  having more faith.  But still not convinced he can game manage consistently.  I’m still waiting for a bunch of turnovers one game and soon.  Hopefully he continues with what he’s been doing last few weeks.  If he does, it’ll instill more faith.

As far as the second comment,  I’ve just recently gotten over the tack hate due to that.   I mean, I still hate your team.  Just at a normal divisional hate level.  If it happens again.  [BLEEP] u guys!  Big Grin.  ..and for good!

Great poat. ? i hate the jags a little less after week 2.
I enjoy this rivalry. Kind of fitting that after all these years of crap, here is a season where the division title is in reach... for both of these teams. And the NFL Gods saw fit to schedule Titans/Jags the final week. Great stuff
I always love the “if you take away all their best performances they’re totally average!” argument.

Great logic.

20 sacks in two games would skew any stat. But okay. Think otherwise.

Also the "take away this crappy play or stupid refs and we're 7-1" argument.

All bullcrap aside, good luck to both teams. Just more luck to the Titans and less to the jags.

Agreed.

Currently, the Jags have only allowed 4 passing TDs all year. Only 1 has been to a WR (Deandre Hopkins), but in fairness, if you take out all the times they stopped teams and give those teams a passing TD instead of a punt, the stats will skew and show that they are terrible. I mean, you can't take what they did when they did great. That only makes them look successful.

For the record, Jags lead the league in sacks, defensive scoring, passing TDs allowed, opponent QB rating, are second in yards per game, 3rd in takeaways differential (per ESPN.)

If people want to argue that the Titans might win the division, that is fine, but to say that the defense is overrated is bizarre.

So it didn't happen? Should the 84 Bears have an asterisk next to the record, as they did the same thing?

In thinking they split the TWO times they play. Tough for the Titans to get a third try at 8-8.

Sort of how in mariota's rookie season if you take away his best two games his stats were terrible.

I think I'm starting to understand how this works.

Nitpicking to try and prove a point. Classic case as to when you know you got nothing left.

The ‘Bears didnt total 20 sacks in two games in 1984. The fact that Jaguars are only around 2.0 sacks per game if you take those two games away doesnt scream “historic defense”

Just for the record, never did I ever say Jags defense isnt good. But it isnt a defense that will go down as the greatest like the ‘15 Broncos or even the ‘00 Ravens.

So 20 sacks happen every 5 years, 10 years? No they dont. Im not mitpicking anything. Theres still more to the defense than sacks, you guys arent in the conversation as the great defenses that ever played... you guys still allow big play & your run-defense is terrible.

So this defense has the ability to make it to the SB? This defense has the ability to be ranked in the top 5 in the run-defense, when they are terrible? Ranked #28th & now they are #24th. Are they a good defense? Yes. Are they the best currently? Yes. Are they historic defense that we will be talking about in the near future? No. They have alot to accomplish to even be in that discuddion. If you dont think so then your just a homer.

Mariota only did it with DGB as his #1 WR & Antonio-Andrews as his RB1; both of these players are in the unemployement line. Oh, and did I mention with the worst o-line & HC in the league?

Yeah pretty [BLEEP] comparisions bro. Jaguars defense always had potenial wich is why they were media’s darling for the past two off-seasons as fad as being the next team to improve. Caleis, Church, Bouye were just icing on the cake this offseason. Might want to try harder next time.

You’re right. 3 teams in the NFL history had 10 sack games, 84 Bears, Texans, and now the Jaguars.

But is this the deciding factor of them being greats? Including the playoffs the ‘85 Bears led the league in turnovers. Also, including the playoffs the Bears, allowed 7.4 ppg for 10 games in Soldier Field that year.

Jaguars have a long way to go to even be considered in this conversation, but continue drinking the kool aid.

The Texans never had 2 10 sack games in a season, what are you talking about? You might want to take a sip of that kool aid, whatever they're serving in Nashville obviously isn't good for brain cells

Sorry it was the Raiders & Bears, Jaguars becoming the 3rd team.

Did it occur to you that you have to be a really good team at getting sacks to get 10 in 2 different games? Like good enough that only two other teams ever did it. Come on man, think.

Edit: btw sacks were not an official stat in 1967 so I am not sure where that is even coming from for the Raiders.
