He did the same thing with Lockheed. I hope Congress is paying attention.

Lets not act like half of this country wasn't already thinking It before Trump said it..

Which is the only reason he said it.

This is Trump's way of continuing a petty vendetta that started when the NFL kept him out in the '80s, got worse when his plan to use the USFL as a pawn to sue the crap out of the NFL failed miserably, and came to a head when owners laughed him out of the building in his attempt to buy the Bills. Trump cares about Trump, not about honoring the flag.

That's your opinion and you're entitled to It..

Let's shake hands and argue later. This game is fun.
I can agree with that
Steelers announced they're keeping the team in the locker room during the anthem. Good call on their part I think.
This stuff has gotten ridiculous and it's turning me away from the NFL.

Not because I care if they sit or kneel. I don't. I couldn't care less. But it's getting in the way of the game itself.

I watch football. I don't want to watch politics mixed with football. I don't want my President commenting about football protests. I don't care for the constant media coverage both my news outlets and sports outlets.

I just want to watch the game. Why can't it be that simple?

Baseball has long since surpassed the NFL for me but even now we have an MLB player kneeling and it's picking up coverage.

I just want to watch a sport.

I think that's what most really want. Just like the separation of church and state, we need one for politics and sports.
Never been more proud of my team and other players throughout the NFL, MLB, and the NBA. Not to mention a majority of owners.

Keep politics out of sports. I’ll show my disdain by not supporting NFL sponsors.

Oh no.

How will those sponsors survive?!

You’d be surprised how much money talks, then again, you may not. You think I’m the minority in this thought? Think again.

The majority of people don't care. They won't boycott sponsors, and they won't kneel before their Pop Warner game. They just want to take three hours on Sunday afternoon to watch a bunch of human torpedoes give each other concussions.

Perhaps those you associate with and that is fine. I associate with those that see and feel great meaning in that flag and our anthem. It is a symbol I wore, fought for and watched people die for. It is very emotional for me. I am not alone by any measure. You choose to ignore or respect how you see fit.
Let them start losing paychecks, see how fast they stand.

No, you're not alone, but the truth is most people don't care. They fall into the "I'm just here to see a [BLEEP] football game" category. That's actually the category I fall into. I support the players' right to self-expression, and I support the right of their employers to separate from them if they see that public conduct while representing the team as unacceptable.

It's fascinating to see that Trump's statement has had the exact opposite effect of what his words would suggest his intent was, and even more fascinating when you consider that maybe that's the reaction he was hoping for all along.

How’s that gonna happen when just about every owner is on their side and some were even on the sidelines.

How will they lose paychecks?

When fans stop showing up and ratings go down.

Not going to happen.  Nearly every owner is taking a stand against the bum running his mouth on twitter like a fool, and talking out of turn in an ignorant manner as usual.

Remember, he brought up this issue.  Unsolicited.

Never been prouder of group of men with so much to lose.

I'm not saying you're wrong but my question is why? Why are you proud? What have they accomplished by all of this? What have any of them accomplished by kneeling?

Not happening but good try.
