Not happening but good try.

Maybe you should read the news?

NFL Stocks Slump as Protests Rise

During the past month the overall stock market is up more than 2% but shares of companies that broadcast NFL games--Comcast, Walt Disney, Fox, CBS--are all down between 1% to 8%.

NFL Attendance Continues To Slump

This trend of absenteeism at games has been and continues to be a problem for the NFL. Over the past few years, teams have been noticing a decline in fans attending the games. Each year, this trend has been slowly getting worse. While not all teams are suffering from this lack of interest among the fan base, it continues to be a problem for the sport as a whole.

Something tells me you would advocate child slavery if it was a dig at DT.

That sounds more like something Trump would advocate. He would then take credit for the employment rate going up.

Trump made this thing much bigger than it ever was before, by opening his mouth. If he would have just kept his opinion to himself, you wouldn't have seen what you witnessed today.

Which is the only reason he said it.

This is Trump's way of continuing a petty vendetta that started when the NFL kept him out in the '80s, got worse when his plan to use the USFL as a pawn to sue the crap out of the NFL failed miserably, and came to a head when owners laughed him out of the building in his attempt to buy the Bills. Trump cares about Trump, not about honoring the flag.

Truer words have never been written on this board. This all started because Trump has a vendetta against the NFL. I really think he's steamed even more, since the NFL let the Raiders move to Vegas. I believe that was "Big Red's" plan all along, to have his own team in Las Vegas. He'd try to move a team there that he purchased. Remember, the Bills were one of those teams constantly connected to rumors of relocation at the time. He's move them and call them the Las Vegas Donald Trump's.
Interesting to see what happens if this boycott of NFL sponsors takes off...

Not because I care if they sit or kneel.  I don't.  I couldn't care less.  But it's getting in the way of the game itself.

I watch football.  I don't want to watch politics mixed with football.  I don't want my President commenting about football protests.  I don't care for the constant media coverage both my news outlets and sports outlets.

I just want to watch the game.  Why can't it be that simple?

Baseball has long since surpassed the NFL for me but even now we have an MLB player kneeling and it's picking up coverage.

I just want to watch a sport.

I think that's what most really want. Just like the separation of church and state, we need one for politics and sports.

I agree 100%. Unfortunately, the world is changing and not for the better.

Nothing.  Because it is not likely to happen on a large enough scale to make a difference.

It's a wasted effort.  Just like kneeling for the anthem.  It accomplishes little to nothing.

I'm not saying you're wrong but my question is why? Why are you proud? What have they accomplished by all of this? What have any of them accomplished by kneeling?

For one, coming together against a wanna-be tyrant who takes a willfully ignorant disrespectful stance, unsolicited--don't forget-- and uniting in support of others who chose to--DARED TO--- use peaceful protest an issue and issues they believe are not getting the attention deserved.

Their collective voice shows they will not set around and let a loudmouth fool attack them.

It is a symbol I wore, fought for and watched people die for. It is very emotional for me. I am not alone by any measure. You choose to ignore or respect how you see fit.

No, you're not alone, but the truth is most people don't care. They fall into the "I'm just here to see a [BLEEP] football game" category. That's actually the category I fall into. I support the players' right to self-expression, and I support the right of their employers to separate from them if they see that public conduct while representing the team as unacceptable.

It's fascinating to see that Trump's statement has had the exact opposite effect of what his words would suggest his intent was, and even more fascinating when you consider that maybe that's the reaction he was hoping for all along.

What's funny is, he's one of the most hated men in America and he just doesn't see it. He has such a high opinion of himself, he thinks others have to feel the same way. It's classic narcissism. He actually believes by speaking out, all Americans would rally around him. He's delusional. Maybe this display will bring him back down to Earth.

That's great and all but why? What good does that do?

The NFL players have a giant platform and THIS is the best they can do?  What a waste of media attention this whole thing has become.

I am not supporting what the POTUS said or does. I'm not a supporter of either political party or the two party system as a whole.

I just fail to see what good they are doing by kneeling.  Just as the POTUS is divisive with his statements the kneeling seems to be doing nothing but accomplishing the same thing.

This feels like a giant dick swinging competition that nobody really wins.

Let's not forget the part where he smashed the USFL against the ground like a toddler causing it to fold, when he wouldn't follow the rules the owners imposed on themselves.

Oh, I forget, he considers that a win because they won the lawsuit and collected that $3 check..........

I agree. Nothing will come of it. The kneeling started out as a dumb idea and the boycott is just as dumb.

I agree my man.

I hope this all dies down and people stop giving it so much attention.  The attention and the comments by the POTUS do nothing but stoke the flames and give it life.
Not going to die down. It's only going to intensify. Wouldn't be so sure about the impact of a sponsor boycott. Not saying it will happen, but the POTUS has some heavy thumbs.

He does and that's part of the problem.
Wow, Facebook is blowing up right now regarding this. The Jags fans can't even enjoy the win. Some fans are angry at Khan.

But honestly, if you are in the entertainment business, you almost have to be on the Left. Even if you have to pretend, or else the media will rip you apart. It's not worth the trouble. What's important is what you do in the voting booth. And guess which side do these owners and their families vote for, and who they donate campaign money to every election year?
Exactly what the Left wants, the destruction of another American institution thanks to the Useful Idiots of the NFL.
Some of the players might start burning the Flag next. Its your right to do that as well. Stay tuned.
So.....after all this, what is their message? It still isn't clear.

Pretend a 10 year old asks their parents why those guys aren't standing with their hands on hearts? What's the stock answer?
Drug dealers good cops racist pigs

They're exercising their right to protest in support of a guy who was protesting the killing of criminals while they were committing a crime by wearing tshirts supporting Communist regimes and socks that referred to cops as pigs.
