Fans gonna fan. Do you think the people who post on here represent the average Jaguar fan? God forbid, lol. Remember, the Jaguars have the best defense EVER!

Good luck Buffalo - in every game except your next one.

So it's OK for Bills' fans to 'fan' but it's different if our fans 'fan'.

Makes perfect sense to me.
I hope we win the coin flip and start on defense first. If we can get some good field position (god... how bad was the field position against the Titans?!) then I think that makes all the difference for Blake. I got a feeling this defense is going to be on fire. I feel like Hackett and Blake are going to come out with a game like Seattle. Throw early to set up the run later. I think we are going to see the Fournette of the first 4 games. Running extremely hard being a pain to tackle.

I think the Jags win but boy am I nervous. All the teams who have had a -40 point differential or worse and make the playoffs have won at least 1 game..... Time to stop that streak!
I wonder how many of these people have even watched a Jaguars game this year.
This has been a great thread. Fun Read. I'm a Bills fan from Washington, DC via upstate New York. Excited to head down this weekend for the game. I've been to Jacksonville once this past summer on a baby-moon with my wife, and I'm looking forward to spending the weekend again in the Atlantic Beach area. Beautiful place, great people. We have good friends who moved to the area a year or so ago and they love it.

I get it, you love your team and your city. Well, I'm sure it'll come as no surprise that we love our team too. I've never lived in Buffalo, but I was a season ticket holder for many years until I moved to DC. What fans would you expect not to think their team is going to win? Boasting about your team is what fandom is all about. I'd venture to say that 98% of any team's fans look at their team through Rose colored glasses. There are those realists on every message board, but they're no fun...always trying to keep everything in perspective... And if you're judging an entire city or fan base by a couple of people on a message board hiding their identity, you're not looking hard enough. If you want to know what true Bills fans are like, look at what we're doing to support the Andy Dalton Foundation. Do we have to do that? Of course not. But it gives us joy to say thank you in such a unique and kind way. It's a win-win.

I couldn't be happier to be facing the Jags on Sunday. Not because I know we'll win (Though I do think we've got a shot) but because I'm just happy we're both in post-season! Two teams with long-suffering fans! Congrats to both of us! Yeah, our streak was much longer, but honestly, we're pretty similar. We don't get any respect around the league. We're small markets. We struggle year after year to find that one main piece (QB) thats going to put us over the top. The one main difference though, is that when you guys stink, you really stink! Seems as though you guys have had a top 5 pick for the last 5 years. Unfortunately for us Bills fans, we're usually bad enough to miss the playoffs, but "good enough" to have a mid level pick, far away from drafting the top 1 or 2 QB prospects, unless it's a really bad year for QB's. (See: EJ Manuel, yuk) And thus, instead of ever being truly horrible, we screw ourselves with middle of the road 6-9 to 8-8 seasons that don't allow us a shot at top draft talent. That one time we were good enough for a top 3 pick, we took Marcel Dareus. Ha! Go figure!

The possibility of knocking Doug Marrone out of the Playoffs really does make this that much better for Bills fans. Put yourself in our shoes for a second. It looked like he was turning the team around, and the he left us. It was a rotten situation. However, I don't think there are many that harbor any resentment towards Dareus. He brought a lot of problems on himself and missed a handful of games due to suspensions. I hope he keeps himself clean and motivated for you all.

A win would be nothing but icing on the cake for us. Are we Super Bowl Contenders, no, not right now, but for the first time in 18 years, there's a lot of hope that we might be on the right track, with the right head coach. And I suspect thats where you also find yourselves as Jags fans.

Best of luck on Sunday! Win or Lose, I'm incredibly grateful that I get to witness it first hand! It's been a long time coming! Be prepared for us, there will be a lot of Red, White, and Blue in the crowd on Sunday! We travel well.

Your fans are bringing American flags to the game?

Good post and best of luck this weekend.

This is actually pretty indicative of all of us beach residents - beautiful and great.

.... glad the info has finally gone national  ... LOL

Enjoy the weekend -- good weather moving in this weekend after a few rough days here in North Florida.
According to the chatter, we should expect between 20-30k Bills fans at the Bank on Sunday. I'm calling bull poop.

Great day for the vendors at the concession stands !!  This guy alone looks like he could down 12 beers and at least 6 dogs during a game.

My job has had me away from Jax for the last 20 years but I'm hope the stadium is 99% Jags fans on Sunday!
Funny thing is our prices at the concessions will make them feel like they died and went to heaven.

Completely agree, once those Bills fans get a taste of Jville I think they will be back for more lol.
So, it went from about 5k to 30k Bills fans? Oh, c'mon

I expect around 5-10k for a playoff game, but these people don't even have a recent playoff game to use as a comparison.

Bills fans travel very well to begin with, even when our team is terrible. So are people going to do everything they can to get to their first playoff game in 18 years, especially one they think they can win? Duh. This article says 20% of tickets were sold to people with New York Zip codes according to one site's data. And that only includes Bills fans from NY. I think it's likely that there will be 10-15,000 Bills fans there on Sunday.

Rochester D&C Article about the cost of getting to the game.

Quote:About 20 percent of the tickets purchased for Sunday's game were bought by people with New York ZIP codes — that's the largest representation of a home state fanbase of any "road team" playing in this weekend's wild card games, based on Vivid Seats data, said Vivid Seats Digital Content Marketing Manager Stephen Spiewak.
I would imagine that is 20% of what was available for the general public. Not 20% of all available tickets. Jags season ticket members accounted for probably 60 k of the available ticks.
I didn't see this posted anywhere, but John Hussey's crew was assigned our game. Now I'm not super into following referees, but is he any good?

Will I be assaulted if I wear a Bills jersey in Jacksonville?

OK, half-kidding here. The Jaguars ranked 29th in attendance in the NFL last year, and Bleacher Report puts the Jacksonville stadium next to last in atmosphere.

So, the relative apathy at games means there aren't many diehards likely to freak out at the sight of invading fans.

It probably doesn't hurt to know that 3,736 assaults were committed in Jacksonville last year, nearly double the national average based on population. On the other hand, Jacksonville is a big city. Some 880,619 people at last count lived on 874 square miles, making Jacksonville the largest city by total land mass in the contiguous United States.

Besides, Tim Tebow and Ray Charles were born there. How unwelcoming can it be?

Btw, Tebow was born in the Philippines.

The point is that it doesn't matter in the least what anyone says on a message board - yet some people actually seem to care and get upset. Jeez.
