So I was thinking about something....why aren't we wearing our teal jerseys for the game this weekend?

Seems kind of odd because for 2 big games earlier this year we wore them. So I'm kinda surprised we aren't doing it again for this game, especially given the teal beers and other teal food items they are doing.
(01-05-2018, 11:53 AM)Cleatwood Wrote: [ -> ]Are the Bills going to be able to put up enough points? It seems most Bills fans are just banking on Blake turning the ball over. Blake at home is a totally different QB.

In his 8 home games, he threw 15 TDs and 5 interceptions. 3 of those interceptions were against the Chargers and Rams who have great defenses. In his road games? 6 TDs and 8 interceptions. I think if you're banking on him turning the ball over, this is not the game to do so. I think Buffalo will be surprised as to which Blake shows up.

On the flip side, Buffalo is averaging 16 points a game in road games. I think they will need to score more than 16 in this game to win.

Now Buffalo could obviously win this game because anything is possible but just going off of trends, I think the Jags have the best chance to win Sunday.

I think the Jags offensive gameplan will be relatively conservative and stress to Blake all week we cant have any unnecessary turnovers (as if any are necessary.)  He had some awful passes last week and those are the types of passes that can't happen this week.

If both teams limit the turnovers, I can't see the Jags losing.  If the Jags turnover the ball 2 or 3 times, it will get close.
Do the bills even have all-pro players on their roster?

Although it's a much more useful and genuinely thankful gesture, this feels eerily similar to Jags fans sending trash cans to Clowney.

Why do you have a gif of one of your players sticking his face in another dude's butt?

Micah Hyde was 1st team all pro.

Hyde and Jordan Poyer were the first safety duo in the history of the NFL to both win AFC player of the month in the same season.

Tre White is in the running for Defensive Rookie of the year.

We haven't made the playoffs in 17 years, so no, we don't donate to a player who made a great play that contributed to our post-season birth every year.
This is something I can get on board with. Did Morten Anderson get anything from the Jags when he missed a chip shot to send the Jags to the playoffs in 1996? I ask in earnest because I really don't know.

We can't all have tailgates where we're sticking our faces in women's butts....

Hyde is second team but that’s cute. Y’all tried really hard this year. Whats the over under on Taylor’s passing yardage? I say 59 yards for the game.

Ha! Way off! He's usually around 140 a game!

I know he got lots of Christmas cards and is still celebrated in Jax.  Bills fans probably didn't appreciate him much the following week.

Lol fabulous good one.

The real question is will Benjamin be motivated to play Sunday?

He's dealing with a bum knee, so he's been in and out most of the games since he's was injured on the first drive of the Chargers game. He's played hard though. He's not the problem...Tyrod doesn't freaking throw it to him cause he's too busy looking for check-downs. It's maddening really.

(or up from south and SW FL where many have moved or retired)

Not a big deal to me.

Yeah, I think 10k is a very conservative estimate. I would argue Buffalo probably has more like 15k+ on Sunday. I will be one of them.

I know that at least 7,000 tickets have gone to NY zip codes, but don't discount the transplants down there showing out as well.

Add to that the fact that Bills fans know how to do 3 things, drink, drink, and be LOUD. I bet the stadium is louder with Buf's defense on that field than it is with the Jags defense out there.

Obviously, if you guys are up, or make some big defensive plays that could shut the Bills fans up. The one thing that has me calling this game a "toss up" is turnovers. Tyrod is no god, but he does not turn the ball over. The same cannot be said for Bortles. In my mind, this is not some 50-3 game, whoever has the + in turnovers wins this game.

I think you're wrong on a couple of things.  First thing you need to understand is that the Jags were selling playoff tickets to season ticket holders before they were available to the general public. When the Jags made the playoffs the remainder (maybe 10K or so) where released and were immediately grabbed up. If you assume that re-sellers managed to snap up half of those you're only looking at 5K available to the public at large.

Finally the Jags released an extra 3501 in the upper decks and 1600 SRO tickets which were immediately snapped up. Let's say half of those and half of the "at large" tickets went to Bills fans, then you have at max of about 4,800 available for purchase by Bills fans.  Let's be charitable though and say Bills fans bought up 100% of those upper deck and SRO tix. That gets the Bills attendance up to maybe 7500. Not bad!

The 7000 you think went to NY zip codes is based on figures released by vivid seats that said 20% of tickets being sold went to NY addresses...but that was just out of their inventory which was limited.

Final point, you won't be able to hear the Bills fans unless it's a time out or something. Trust me bro.
There were maybe 40 Bills fans on my flight out of Dallas.

Pretty normal people, not terrorizing in any way.

That actually seems like a decent bit considering you came from CA.  I assume it was a layover but I’d imagine most from NY would be hitting Atlanta.  Glad to hear they werent obnoxious.....yet.
Hopefully the Jags will get up on the ills early. If I end up with an [BLEEP] in front of me like the hawks game, it may be an early departure!
Oh comon Jax, you've been a franchise for like 20 years. Your attendance is always near the bottom of the league. You had the second easiest schedule in the league. Your team is in a larger market then Buffalo (and we have blizzards and 20 degree games) yet our fans show up in larger numbers than your fans. The Bills will win tomorrow but will lose in divisional round. You're delusional if you think Jax will win.

If you’re going to troll, don’t make it so obvious.  When it’s so obvious, you won’t get the reaction you’re looking for.

He got two words right.  He just needs to look into a mirror and repeat them a dozen times until it starts to sink in.
