Marrone is the master sandbagger.
Some good Marrone comments today:

Extra reps for Fowler this week?  probably not - maybe next week

Blake's bounce back ability - unique?  you have to have that mindset at that level... when you start making the same mistake twice that can hurt you -you're gonna get knocked down in this game

On Kessler - we need to do a better job protecting him

Gotten better at TE?  - We'll see from the production, but we've got the right people in place

On Pederson quote:  Doug won a SB. He did a great job of coaching. People are gonna say what they're gonna say. When you lose  -you question everything.

Will you explain what you did (AFCCG) in your book?  ... I'm not a book writer - I'm a drink a beer and tell a story guy.
Also, Favorite beer? Landshark, I always drink beer from clear bottles. I want to see what I'm drinking. Because I am crazy.

Landshark with bologna and cheese. A true man of the people... with issues.

I'd love to compile a string of Marrone soundbytes if I had time. He's hilarious in some of these pressers.

Clear bottles allow for too much light into your beer which can cause skunking.

Around my place that process will have to occur pretty damn quickly to matter much. Hell, with some of my lush bag friends it wouldn't even matter if a skunk literally pissed in it. Big Grin

Yup. This is why a lot of craft breweries use tall boxes as well.

I guess Landshark is better than Bud Light though.

Landshark facts

LandShark Lager
Land Shark Lager can be consumed with lime.

LandShark Lager, brewed in Jacksonville, Florida, is a 4.6% ABV island-style lager launched in 2006 as the house lager for "Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville" restaurant chain, to compete with Grupo Modelo's Corona. Under a sponsorship deal, Dolphin Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, Florida Marlins and the Miami Hurricanes, was renamed "Land Shark Stadium" for the 2009 football season. The contract ended in early 2010, and the stadium has been renamed "Sun Life Stadium" as of January 18, 2010, in time for both the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl and Super Bowl XLIV. The stadium was renamed Hard Rock Stadium in 2016.[32][33][34]

LandShark also has Bar & Grill locations in Pensacola, Florida, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina,[35] Atlantic City, New Jersey,[36] and Biloxi, Mississippi.

The name is derived from the Jimmy Buffett song "Fins", where men in a beach town trying to woo a vacationing woman are referred to as "sharks that can swim on the land".

I love Doug.

Don Carey going on IR is might open a spot for another DB. I was looking at Hurndon, Meeks and Myrick thinking there's only one spot for them to fight over. It appears there are two spots now.

Herndon has had a nice camp. Meeks I liked coming out but haven't heard/seen much so far.

Yes.  I see Patmon and Herndon as the top ranked depth as of now. Herndon looked very natural at nickel. If there's any real concern about Hayden, Tre Herndon a smart guy to keep around IMO.

Meeks has made some nice moves to jump a couple of routes, one of which should have been a pick, but he's just a bit too inconsistent so far. Myrick has faded in the stretch down this race. Needs to show up on ST.
