Besides the fact he's throwing against a Pro Bowl CB, he is also throwing to relatively inexperienced receivers.

Not sure, but here is one of them. Make sure to full screen it, or basically impossible to see. Bortles stares down Cole, Cole with an "eh" route, and Bouye reads and jumps for the pick 6.

So you can tell Blake did all that from a video that is still next to impossible to see even when blown up?

I can tell Blake did all what? I said he did one thing, stare down the receiver... ? My screen is pretty massive, might be easier for me, but I sure can't tell from the tweet unless you full screen it. All pro CB Bouye did what he normally does... reads and reacts. INT in camp is obviously not a big deal, just sharing a tweet since this is a twitter page and helping describe the play, since it was asked if it was Bortles fault or receivers.

Good stuff on Lazard too about how he's faster than you'd think for his size. I'm quietly rooting for him.

I guess my post seemed a little dramatic.

I just meant, I can't tell if that was a state down by Blake or not from a video taken so far away. As you said, its camp and not a big deal.

What did he say about Lazard? I must have missed that.

Actually, my bad... I went back to see when he said it, and it turns out he was talking about ASJ... not Lazard. He said...

Quote:He's big... he's real big... he's a big red-zone threat, but he's faster than people think. He's got great game speed.

Some nice throws in there by Blake in the two Wynn vs Patmon plays
They are raving about Chark on 1010 right now.

Patmon is going to get big and slow if he keeps serving himself that humble pie.

He got the better of Jalen today, albeit it was his 2nd day back in camp, but encouraging nonetheless.

Quote: It may be time to rule out Blair Brown in the competition for the SAM job, as he has lined up as the backup weakside linebacker throughout all six sessions of training camp.

Not only is that surprising, but the part before that popped out to me.

"- With Jacobs sidelined, Brooks Ellis took over as the first-team SAM linebacker. When the Jaguars were working on their nickel package, Ellis and undrafted rookie Manase Hungalu were the only linebackers taking part in strong-side drills. "

Brooks Ellis?

I saw that too. Looks like we signed him to the practice squad mid season last year. Smart kid. Here’s an article on him while he was with the patriots.

Bryan showing an additional pass rush move. Who said this dude lacked strength?

That is his patented “push and snatch” move. It’s almost unblockable if he beats the O-lineman off the ball.

Yup, his push and pull is far and away his best move. He tossed around a lot of players in college with that exact same move. Obviously he'll be going against the best of the best now in the NFL, but strength is certainly not an area he lacks in.

As a lot of people have already said, hands placement, technique and leg drive is what he needs to work on. Among plenty of other things considering he's a rook, but he's definitely a strong s.o.b.
I'm fine with the defense making our QB's look average. It looks like in the plays against Chark that Ramsey doesn't initiate any contact off the ball or press. They probably told him not to do it in practice. Bouye is a more technically sound corner and it seems to be why he's getting so many INTs in camp. If Jalen was playing at his game level I don't see Chark getting free releases.

It's a quick slant route. Bortles has to stare down the WR because it is so quick. IMO he was late with the ball which leads to the pick. It was a great play by Bouye nonetheless but I feel if the ball was on time it's probably a bang bang play but probably still a pass break up by Bouye.
We haven't mentioned him a lot but by all accounts Kessler is having a really good training camp, even taking downfield shots who aren't exactly his strenght.
Maybe I'm going to jinx him now bue he's also the only QB who hasn't thrown an INT yet...let's see today.
