I think Kavanaugh is toast, and Republicans have come to accept that.

Why? Because a liar is lying?

I mean, I guess.. we kept Obama around for 8 years and that's literally all he did.

Obama lied, yes, but absolutely nowhere in the ballpark of the way Trump lies. Trump lies like he believes his own B.S.

Pure frustration. This is a guy who has probably experienced few, if any, days of hardship in his life. Challenges, but little hardship. Now he's been immersed into something that would make any of us rage.

When you're up for a position like this in the national spotlight, he should have known his name was going to be dragged through the mud. It's part of the process. I don't feel sorry for anyone who accepts such a position. You want to run for office or be appointed to the highest court in the land, you should expect to face major hardships. This country is so divided, you should expect all kinds of attacks from the other side of the aisle.

He said use common sense. What does your common sense tell you? Mine tells me he is innocent.

Mine tells me that I need to see the rest of his hearing to decide whether he tried to force himself on a woman or not.

Not to this extent. But then again, when you're dealing with democrats when a pivotal SC nomination is up for grabs, he should have expected a dead boy to be planted in his bed.

A 35-year-old Feinstein wasn't qualified to take on any mind. Or most inanimate objects.

Has anyone noticed the GOP hired prosecutor is being tougher on Kav than Ford?

Don't change my words.
Refresh my memory when a liberal SC nominee was brutalized by Republicans like Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas have been.
Are you serious you don't get why he is emotional? You get wrongfully accused and then smeared on national stage that's emotional stuff. I absolutely understand his emotional state, I've be falsley accused of stuff and I was more emotional than he is.

Listening to him on the radio was amazing. He nailed it on the head advice and consult turned into seek and destroy
Watching these geriatrics try to question Kavanaugh is both hilarious and sad.

I don't know. When's the last time Democrats nominated someone with questionable sexual conduct in their past?
(09-27-2018, 03:16 PM)TJBender Wrote: [ -> ]Kavanaugh is unhinged, furious and calling Dr. Ford a liar. He's blasting all of Congress, blasting the Supreme Court, making his hearing a political event. Dude's done. No way he gets confirmed if he comes out in attack mode like that, much as the Trump base will predictable lick it off the floor.

Unhinged? If he was wrongfully accused, then I'd be far more angry than he's been. That would also make her a liar, so I don't understand your point. He can't claim innocence without calling her a liar.

I'm curious if you feel the same way about Ford's emotions?

Being criticized for your opinions and / or decisions is rightfully a part of the job. Being falsely accused of raping someone is not. Not only is being falsely accused of a crime not a part of the job, for you to expect as much is disturbing.

She has to for appearances. You can't attack the accuser without being shamed. She also probably knows he can answer them sternly, and if he does that, then his responses look strong despite the stern approach she took with him.
