That's just insane.

I feel for you man, how do you argue that?!!!

And you base this on?  Because it's clearly not a based on anything rational.  If you'd make an argument that Fowler is younger than Campbell  then you'd have a point.  But in every other way, on the field and in the locker room, Campbell  has been a better player.

Like I said. Leave clever to those who can.

You have 0 to add to any topic on this board unless it's insulting someone or the topic.  Despite your viewpoint of your superior intelligence most see you as an idiot with little man syndrome.  If I am a simpleton why bother reading any of my threads.  It's either you value my opinion or your so miserable you can't help yourself and attempt to derail every thread.

You are a company man thru and thru.  Those of us that have been around for years have watched your support and defense of every loser regime in the Jaguars organization.  I do not value your opinion because you have been proven wrong again and again.  Put me on ignore because I rather talk football then argue with A middle aged man who gets his rocks off by insulting others on a football message board.

Lmao this is so true, well-stated JMVP
They were all over Fowler on the Thursday night broadcast. Bunch O articles had us as the big losers in the trade deadline. I disagree.

I agree with them. So we'll have Taven and Yannick for the foreseeable future? That's REAL comforting. And don't you dare think we'll have these FAs on that DL for much longer either. I mean Campbell, Jackson, and Dareus.

Aside from the fact that they don't play the same position, don't have the same playing style and aren't don't fill the same role, sure. I really wanted Fowler standing up to double-teams and having the ball run straight at him every game.

He was on vacation while in London apparently. Questioned the move initially, glad he’s gone now and got something for him while we could.

Ah-Ha.

That explains a bunch of comments from the radio guys about understanding why the team was ready to move on from him. They were clearly privy to something they weren't revealing - and now we know what that was.

He really did end up being a punk. I was hoping all that talk about maturing he was doing at the beginning of the year was true, but I guess a tiger doesnt change his stripes overnight. Glad hes gone now.
This might have been the straw that broke the camels back, but I think he would have been moved regardless. There were a bunch of reports about how the Rams and Jags had been staying in contact about a Fowler trade as soon as we drafted Bryan. Once our season took a downturn I think it was a foregone conclusion they were going to recoup as much value as possible. It was just a happy coincidence that the London trip happened right before the trade deadline.

I normally don't stay late after the games, but I had a friend visiting from Houston, so we were just hanging out at the stadium for a bit after the loss to the Texans. We were walking by player parking and I see Dante Fowler walking past me towards security. Now, if you don't know anything about player parking, they rope off the area so players can go straight from the stadium to their vehicles without being harassed. However, Dante was walking around the player parking to come in from the other side. Security had to call and someone to authorize access to his car. It didn't make sense to me at the time, but there's a possibility he was avoiding the team and/or a player.

There could other reasons as well, but just thought I'd share the story. I wouldn't say anything at all out of respect for his privacy/routine, but since he's been traded, I don't think he has to worry about people try to catch him for autographs.
Why in the hell would they tell LA he missed a practice? Would of been a #becausejaguars moment if they changed their mind about the trade because of it.

Because you might want to make trades with them in the future and no one likes being mislead.

Quote:The Jacksonville Jaguars considered trading pass-rusher Dante Fowler Jr. to the Jets, but New York failed to produce an offer as competitive as the Los Angeles Rams', sources tell ESPN.
The Jaguars were asking teams for two third-round draft picks for Fowler, according to sources. The Rams offered a third-round pick in 2019 and a fifth-round pick in 2020, which were the terms of the final deal.
As late in the day as 30 minutes before Tuesday's trade deadline of 4 p.m. ET, the Jets offered a third-round pick and a fifth-round pick as well, but they wanted a fourth-round pick in return, according to sources.
Even though the Jets' picks were more appealing, New York declined to budge on its request to have a fourth-round pick sent back along with Fowler, so the Jaguars decided to trade him to the Rams.
Fowler, who will become an unrestricted free agent after this season, is expected to make his Rams debut on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

I like the Rams offer better also. A very late 3rd rounder and our 4th is better than a early 3rd rounder and no 4th.
Did I just hear Howie Long describe Fowler's numbers here in Jacksonville as "staggering"?
