Quote:How do you know I'm not in their locker room?
They may respect him as a man because he's nice gives them ice cream and says "sweep the corners" but the play through the first 3 games of the year says this is an undisciplined team that has realized that Gus Bus is an extremely flawed coach.
Because I know you are not employed by the team, of course. If you were you would not say Gus needs to be fired immediately.
Quote:"Regardless" implies you would fire him before a wild card game if we somehow won the division. Just saying.
I would vote for January 2, but refuse to participate in polls with Blank #2 and Corn selections.
No, regardless means I believe he gets fired whether we lose the next game or make the playoffs, but in my opinion, it doesn't happen until Jan. 2.

If we make the playoffs, Bradley keeps his job. Khan and Caldwell said it.
It makes sense and all...but I don't recall Khan and Caldwell actually saying that.

Perhaps, but I believe these first three games sealed Gus's fate. I don't believe an early playoff run fixes anything. By the way, when did Khan or Dave state Gus stays if they make the playoffs? I don't believe that was ever said as it would allude to the fact Gus is on the hot seat.
Hi, my name is JW and I like to make [BLEEP] up.

I don't know exactly what they said, but it basically means "if we miss the playoffs Bradley is gone."

Nope. Again. You are wrong.
Khan said he expects a winning season.

He also gave Bradley a one-year contract extension. Do you really think a team owner would do that if he believed firing Bradley in 2016 was a good idea?
lol...clueless.
Has anybody seen my baseball?

He also gave the assistant coaches a similar extension...so they can terminate at the same time! In reality, the extension means squat outside of money paid.

I am not talking about money. I am saying Khan would not give Bradley an extension if he lost all faith in his coach. It backs up his comment about having high expectations.

This sentence makes zero sense. He gave him an extension to try and ease Gus' mind about the upcoming season. Showing him he believes in him.
Yes he might have faith in Gus but that doesn't mean Gus is safe no matter what. When he says he has high expectations, that means if those expectations aren't met, Gus will be fired.

However you need to view the action, but my point is the extension means absolute squat. It is not a factor moving forward. Some may view it as good faith, I view it a merely administrative.

I never said Bradley is safe beyond this season.

It could be a combination of those factors.

So you're saying no matter what, Gus is safe the whole season?

Khan has always sounded like a guy who will not pull the trigger in the middle of a season. The contract extension backs up his words. I think he is safe to coach all 16 games, but not beyond that.

If the Jags go 0-8.... He still has a job? You truly believe that?

It is way too early to predict that record.
In fact some coaches have kept their jobs through the end of the season after losing the first eight games. The Redskins, Chargers, and Dolphins did it. In 2008 the Lions coach quit after more than eight losses.
