Throw in the Kismet.  It’s certainly not doing me any good.
Imagine admitting that you made such an idiotic and brain dead mistake that you'd be willing to give away a mid round draft pick to try and trade Foles, just so you can save $3-5m... LOL

And to think there were people who actually wanted to sign Foles/liked the signing LOL.

Laughing
Seems people don't understand this scenario.

You trade Foles and a pick not for the 2020 season, but for 2021.  With the money you save off the 2021 cap, you can be active in free agency.  More importantly, it saves Khan a good chunk of money and given his financial difficulties, it makes perfect sense.

Of course, none of this really matters because the Jags will suck no matter what because they don't really want to win anyway.

His financial difficulties? LOL. Man it must be real rough for him only being worth $7.8 Billion... Poor guy is struggling.
This team is an absolute dumpster fire.

Is there a post of the year competition? We have our first nomination...

Still would not be as bad as what the Tinhorns did with Brock Osweller
I will be pissed if they give up anything more than a sixth to move him. And thats pushing it.

They gave him 4 years, $72m with $37m Guaranteed...

We gave Foles 4 years, $88m with $50m Guaranteed...

They traded him (along with a 2017 6th and 2018 2nd round pick) for a 4th round compensatory pick (as well as the Browns eating some of his cap). It's pretty close, but ours is definitely worse. Nobody wants Foles lol.

He's beyond garbage. This franchise outbid themselves from the start and even had the nerve to say they offered extra because they felt he deserved it LOL... Nobody wanted Foles then and nobody wants him now. He had zero stock when this franchise signed him and it's beyond an all time low now..

Simply put... We're screwed six ways from Sunday.
Yep as really Nick when great and healthy he really can turn it on. But when he is injured, he is not really elite QB there. You know what I mean.
But he throws a nicer spiral than Bortles...

Championship!
People act like Foles is making $35 million. The QB room will cost around $25 million with him in it this year. Pretty cheap by NFL standards.

This could only mean one thing.

We'll get somebody to take Foles off of our hands and Minshew will suck or get injured.

Laughing I love your optimism!

Silly you trying to use facts and reason during a Pile On.
For hardcore fans of one of the worst franchises in sports, I am kind of surprised how many people on here have been so hard on Nick Foles.

You people are literally putting all of your chips behind a 2nd year QB who has won about 2 games against teams with a winning record.

Strange times to be a Jag fan...

Hey, why not get excited about a QB winning games? It's actually a nice change. As far as Foles, I tend to agree with you. At best  his play was mediocre last year but I think he's a better player than he showed. The position is a huge question mark going into next year.

He got hurt first game and was forced back early from a broken collarbone. For the life of me, I can't understand why people around here hate him so much when there is SO MUCH other stuff to hate about this team.

On a side note, the brass didn't bring in Foles thinking he had Lamar Jackson mobility and gave him one of the worst o-lines in all of football.

My point is, this team is terrible from top to bottom, and using Foles as a scapegoat and putting all of your chips behind Minshew is just strange.
Yeah, I am not sure Foles was given a fair shake. I AM confident they overpaid him for the dumbest reason, and could be a contributing factor as to why Jalen and Yannick wanting to leave. It would be hard to watch the team pay big dollars for a QB that has yet to prove themselves, not once, but twice, while trying to play hardball with the players that are doing well. Add Myles Jack to that.

Foles was not ready to return. From rumor goin round, that was a Coughlin call that Marrone countermanded after 3 and a half games.

I’m looking forward to seeing what Minshew does this year, but I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Foles after an offseason to heal physically and mentally.
The acquisition of Foles never excited the fan base. Probably because of his mediocre career. His injury was almost expected given his history and when it happened the Mania began and it made it easy to forget Foles. He came back in, stunk it up and the rest is history. I suspect he will remain on the roster this year.
