I'd do that trade straight up! Fournette is gone after this season anyway. Might even throw in one of our 5th rounders.

So is Howard for Tampa

Just by people here.

Let me guess, DC wanted Mahomes or Watson, right? DC brought Calais and Bouye. Also it was Khan who hired Bradley, nothing is ever DC's fault  Rolleyes

Factz. This board is hilarious. Get rid of every good player of our most successful year but keep the bad coaches that costs us a chance to go the super bowl. It was never the players it is the coaches, lol and everyone is happy to get rid of guys they are that easy to replace. Like we have had a bunch of pro bowl players before..smh.
Not a good player. And this was his "good" year lol. Dictionary definition of JAG - just a guy.

If that’s the case maybe the player is Jamal Adams?

I don't know if DC wanted Mahomes, Watson, Fournette or someone else.  But months before the 2017 draft I pointed out Fournette fits the profile of a TC RB and said if the team drafted a RB it would be Fournette.  TC had the final call, and Fournette became the pick.  Prisco has even confirmed Fournette was a Coughlin pick.

TC was responsible for bringing in Bouye and Campbell.

DC brought in Bradle, but had little to no responsibility for the roster he inherited.

Eleven percent of DCs draft picks have been pro bowlers, which is pretty good.

I think Fournette is a decent to good back but drafted too high.  Trading him may make people feel better now, and might even lead to us getting Trevor Lawrence.

But how many player dumps before our rep is mud when it comes to retaining players?

At what point, between the botched draft choices, holdouts, trades of talented players and the inability to retain others, will all this stuff combine to make a guy like Trevor Lawrence pull an Eli Manning, Bo Jackson or John Elway?  How does any of this inspire any loyalty?

That's encouraging. I'd love to get Jamaal Adams for Fournette and a 5th.

Exactly.

It's just easy to blame entirely TC for that pick, after all it's not like Caldwell had already messed up with Joeckel, Bortles and several FA's.

Why don't people also blame TC for Chark, Minshew, Josh Allen (since people for some reason also love to give credit to DC for Ramsey)? Just blame everything bad on TC and everything good on DC.

Truth is, it is highly doubtful 2017 happens without TC. And yeah, of course he messed up a lot after that but Caldwell has been just as bad or worse.

I for one really love Fournette. And I’d be sad to see him go, I think he has a special factor.

If he goes and Yannick. I’m convinced Khan is going to let David stay for another year.

Like it doesn’t make sense Dave would trade away all of his experienced players, and seemingly go into the season with a young inexperienced team and expect his job to be fine.
If we trade Fournette, given both Caldwell and Marrone stressing the need for play makers, do you guys think that means DAndre Swift at 20?

Only star was Ramsey, but he is a diva and a cancer.

Fournette has been nothing special.

Agreed the sooner we take our medicine and get what we can for him the better. He was never gonna be on this team after next year.

Remember Beadles? yep, Coughlin's fault... Joeckel too.

Can you imagine sucking this badly at your  job and continuing to remain employed? Tony and Shad are as clueless as they come when it comes to sports brain.
It’s pretty obvious that fournette was a Tom pick. Multiple posters called it before the draft saying Fornette was Toms style of back.

I never was fan, for a big back he gets tackled to easily. Even with a poor online he should be able to get in the end zone from the one yard line yet you can’t count on him. Most of his success was when the line opened a huge hole. He does not have good vision and does not make players miss tackles with shifty moves. Big plays but no consistent running game. Another poor Tom C pick

A 2nd?!

Hahahaha for Fournette?! Dude. What?!
Don't get me wrong. I don't think he's worth a second. I think someone would be willing to give a second. People often mistake worth and value.

Sorry dude. Not a chance.

A 2nd rounder for a back who’s average? They’ll be lucky to get a 5th.

This is just another example of this board over valuing the wrong players on this team.
He wasn’t Caldwell’s guy. And now Caldwell has carte Blanche to move on, so he’s exploring the option.

Never wanted the guy in the first place personally. Took plenty of flack here for pointing out exactly the things he would struggle with in the nfl and we’ve all seen those things happen.

He could be a good piece for a team with a bruising o-line and a committee system for him to be part of.
We currently have neither.

I wasn’t really bothered by his QB comments even if it was dumb to do so, and I don’t hate the guy, but I’ll lose no sleep moving him for a mid round pick. Which was all that should have been spent on a RB in the first place.

If Dave did that Shad should fire him before the night is over. Drafting a 1st round RB at the beginning of a rebuild is such a bad idea. If he's as good as you hope then it's time for him to start holding out for that big killer 2nd contract right when your team is getting good. Acquire a good RB when it's time to finish the rebuild.

What were your odds of getting a 4th for Foles? Most here (myself included) thought we'd have to give up a 4th or higher to trade Foles.

Not realistic. More likely to be Yannick in that deal
