We still have crappy OT's, no pass catching TE, bad/average Safeties and zero depth at both LB positions. We have average CB's now, but our top three guys are coming back from injury. That doesn't bode well. Our run defense should be better though.

You're just looking for something to complain about. You're not going to be able to replace the entire roster with all-stars in 2 days of free agency.

Better be for a late round pick.

Can't argue with this, but there was no way we were upgrading every position on the team in one free agency period.
Jags are playing FA smart. What a bunch of whiny babies the past 24 hours on here!

Pass catching TE's take too long to develop, so it would've been smart to bring in a veteran. Had we not drafted Allen in 2019, we would've taken T.J. Hockenson. He's just now starting to scratch the surface of what he is capable of. Even if we get a good one and it takes that long, we'll be 2-3 years into Lawrence's rookie deal and the window will be very short before we have to give him a huge deal and start cutting players to get under the cap. Our OT's are garbage and I'll keep saying it until something changes. Our Safeties are bad/average and our top CB's are all coming back from injury. That's not complaining. It's stating facts.
For those of you with NFL Network, Scott Pioli is about to comment on the Jaguars' free agency moves today.
Keep in mind we have four of the top 50 picks in the draft. We're going to draft a superstar QB with the first pick, and hopefully draft three very good players. The holes will fill up quickly.

We shall see.

I sure hope we hit on those picks, no matter what positions they are.

Exactly!
Pioli said he said the Jaguars were being very "thoughtful" in how they are building the team.

He is pushing hard for the Jaguars to sign former Raiders Pro bowl Center Rodney Hudson, and states they should not spend all of the money now, indicating that as guys get signed, more guys will get cut.
Gotta feel for Bears fans. Been linked with Russell Wilson and today sign Andy Dalton

Poor Robinson

Hudson is incredible. I would definitely take him.

Some are simply Pessimistic.

Pretty much correct.  Just because you have money it doesn't mean that you have to spend it right now.

Signing him and moving Linder to RG would be a good move.  We'd still need upgrades at T, but with Hudson and those upgrades...

This is true, but the concern is understandable, and not a matter of guys looking for reasons to complain.

Impatience, perhaps, but not "malcontentedness."

Has there been much basis for optimism the last two decades?

At this point despite all the restructuring done by others there are 12 teams that are still in serious cap trouble. They will each need to have about 11 million to sign their draft class (except LA who..do they have any picks?) Take a look. If I were them I would release/cut the best players at the last minute hoping a lot of the cap money others have will be consumed.  Besides we don't play a game for quite awhile...Wink
Thank god the Jones deal is cheap... really not a fan of Jones. They picked up the wrong WR out of DET. Golladay is a beast, and before someone says "Golladay injury prone", should check in on Jones' injury history.

Positive thing is, deal #'s was wasn't bad.

Dude nearly had 1000 yards and 10 TD's last season..

Look at your post history.  Did you eat a stem and cap?
