I don’t think Urban will fight the for cause firing.

He should be all in on preserving his college clout. If things come out in the legal battles that further damage his “legacy” that would be worse for him than taking the hit on the contract.

Stay tuned.

Wow.
This could get really ugly if Meyer decide to fight the termination and go after that money.
Given the stories coming out, it would seem Khan's case is likely airtight.

Yeah, it certainly could make for an ugly airing of laundry if it goes to court.

The question is, does Urban still have any face left to lose? It's quite likely he never works in football or I sports media again after this season, so he might figure he has nothing to lose and want to go kicking and screaming in the hopes that Khan settles rather than having anything embarrassing from the team's standpoint aired.

Both sides in this deal are probably massively full of regret about this year.
They'll negotiate a buyout behind the scenes with a non-disclosure agreement.

I bet you're right. Probably best for both sides to keep further details from seeing the light of day.

This is the most likely scenario.

He would have to swallow his pride a bit....but like everyone else he could go work for Saban....
Not surprised by this at all. I remember getting blasted when I said Meyer golfing instead of going to the BYU pro day was a red flag that he wasn't going to work as hard as an NFL head coach needs to. So many people were too busy going "HAHAHA Urban being a boss showing he doesn't even need to go see Wilson cause we're guaranteed Trevor".

What a piece of [BLEEP]. Even worse than we knew a year ago.

Doing what?

What does a guy like Saban need from a guy like Urban?

Exactly.  Urban's one and only talent is being a consummate BSer.  He's not an X's and O's guy.

He let his arrogance allow him to go one step past where he should have, the NFL doesn't work like the NCAA. He had always done a great job of getting out before his BS could catch up with him.

Now he's ruined his legacy and been exposed along with exposing what kind of a game college football is. There's no reason to pay massive salaries to glorified recruiters.
I take back any support I had for Urban.

Man. He is such a loser.

Will not be reading his comments in that interview because I couldn't give two [BLEEP] about what that liar has to say.

Dude is entirely full of [BLEEP] and just trying to do damage control.

And it was obvious from the start he didn't want Robinson and was trying to do everything he could to run him out of the building. From drafting ETN in the 1st round to putting Hyde/Robinson as the co-starters on the depth chart. Dude is a complete joke.
Urban is saying all the right things, setting him up for a big college job when the time comes.
The urban legend will rise again. He didn't murder anyone. Sheesh. Its just football. He just pimp slapped a few people and pimp kicked.

He'll find work again. There's always somebody out there desperate enough to roll the dice, especially at that level. It's not like you would be rolling the dice on Bobby Petrino or Lane Kiffin. He's one of the greatest college coaches of all time.

Just comes down to whether or not kids will take him seriously coming out of high school when he's out on the recruiting trail again.

"Hey, kid, if you don't come play here at my school this will happen to your old man again!"
