Huh? No he didn't.... coaching salary doesnt impact the teams cap.

You think Meyers contract is a hit for a billionaire like Khan? LOL!!!

You might think 40 or 50 million dollars is chump change for a guy who has an 8 billion dollar net worth, but it's not chump change for a guy who came to the United States from Pakistan with about $9 in his pocket.

YESSS!!!!!

This is a Christmas miracle, we made a good decision early (yes I realise our ‘good decision’ was only to fix our previous bad decision, but it’s still progress for the organisation)
He had to go unfortunately. I give khan a ton on credit for realizing you gotta save the QB

We've stopped hitting ourselves in our head with a hammer, so, great, but we still have a headache.

Let's rejoice that the hurricane has finally left the area, but we've got a big mess to clean up.

We're happy the war is over, but there are a lot of people dead.

I could go on and on.

Still, I'm happy.  Let's hope we can somehow rescue the situation UM put us into.
Is Baalke still here and is he hiring the next coach?
Definitely needed but don’t expect a miraculous turnaround Sunday. I think bevell has a lot of issues, and Trevor needs an off-season of coaching and personnel changes.

I.e. this board will riot when Trevor posts the same stat line Sunday.
Wow, what unexpectedly good news to wake up to. Much needed and past due frankly. Bevell is apparently taking over as interim HC for now. Hopefully Shad doesn't repeat the mistakes of the past and will genuinely clean house this time, hire a smart GM and let the GM lead the search for a new HC.
Time to bring back JDR

Agreed, for the rest of this season expect more of the same.

He's still here but I have a feeling he will be gone as well as he was a hold over per Meyer's request to have someone do the day to day GM stuff.

I wouldn't but it's not as crazy an idea as some people will likely tell you. I always thought he was a good coach, just not great as a talent evaluator and had a tendency to be up and down. So I think it's time to go after a fresh, talented coordinator and make them an offer. (Leftwich?) Let's see Shad's choice for GM first, though assuming Baalke's out.

I was waiting for an outlet to report it. This makes it official. Now, who takes over?
Wait. I thought he was going to be here next year?

I suspect that Meyer has done enough to be considered detrimental to the team, and that guaranteed contract won’t be paid out.

I was one of the ones who told everyone there was no chance of him being fired, but after I said that, things went from bad to worse to really really really bad.

Yeah, I was wrong.  I admit it.

Uche Nwaneri seems absolutely giddy over the news.

This is a bow to catty political gossip.  We have people actually sticking up for The receivers who can't get open, the RB who put the ball on the ground, and the worst offensive staff this team has ever seen.  But that's okay.  We all know that the key to winning in the arena of human combat is sitting around drinking hot coco, brading each other's hair while we talk about our feelings.  I think that Beval will start interlacing the View during film study.

This is the second Coach fired this year for "toxic masculinity"
Hahaha bad takes are bad.

Given Khan’s past record of excessive patience, coupled with his enthusiasm for Meyer, it indicated he would keep him until next year. I was wrong.
