FTFY

If I find a trade partner, I'm still taking Williams, so you're kind of right.
I’d love them to pick Williamsif they are going away from hutch and taking potential, I just don’t see it happening.

My major worry regarding walker is we are going to see 2-3 solid alualu type years and then maybe a flash in year 4/5 , but stats and one year production means we don’t offer him the big deal and he walks, and once again we’re left letting a high draft pick walk away!
Yes he has potential but he has zero pass rushing moves of technique at this point in time it’s going to take 2/3 seasons for him to even touch the surface of his potential.

All this talk I hear of coaches love his traits of course they do , but no coach on the history of the nfl is going to humble enough to say He won’t reach his potential , coaches believe they can turn anyone into a player as it’s there ego on the line.

Hoping for hutch, would love Williams but at this point I think all experts know it’s walker and are just playing the unknown to make it interesting

This is accurate.

Our history of early picks prior to 2021 is of little to no importance right now.
Trevor Lawrence, Etienne, Tyson Campbell, Andre Cisco, and Walker Little are our best indicators of the current regime's early-round drafting and even that is not a wise barometer to gather data from - as it happened with input from a different HC.

Beyond whatever influence the HC had, you also have to remember Lawrence was the most universally acknowledged #1 since Andrew Luck.  Even if he had been a total bust, you couldn't fault Baalke, every GM in the league would have taken him in our position.
I wasn't a fan of the Etienne pick, simply because I thought we had more pressing needs, but he really can't be considered either because we haven't even seen him play yet.

100% agree here.

But now is where the rubber meets the road with Baalke and his draft style, because there are a few different directions he could go with his selections and potential maneuverability to hopefully better this team.

I really hope that he hits a homerun with the first pick (well, every pick but you know...) especially with the rumors that are swirling around about Hutch/Walker. I'm a big fan of Thibodeaux and think he has the most talent out of the main 3 DE's but man I really hope whoever we choose is that difference maker we so desperately need.
At this point I don't even care which Edge player they take, just take one. They all got their question marks and upsides. Don't go OL.

I wouldn't mind Sauce or Jameson Williams either. Leave it to the Jags to be the first team to ever draft a CB or WR #1 lol.
A bit over 2 hours from now it will be official. Get your popcorn and drinks ready

Keyshawn Johnson
I'm still hanging on to the hope that Baalke has been playing with everyone and plans on taking Hutchinson. I tried to get on the Javon Walker train once the rumors seemed real, but I can't go along with taking someone based on projections of what he can be. The Jaguars need a pure pass rusher to pair with Allen due to the blunder of having drafted Chaisson. If they take Walker, the team will deserve all the hate they will receive from our fans and the media.

Many of these guys have close ties to the team and ownership. They aren't gonna say anything to go against the team. They are homers. Many of these guys are the same people who were singing the praises of Hutchinson several weeks ago. Neither Hutchinson or Walker has changed as players in the last several weeks, but many of the Jacksonville media are now on the "Walker Train," because that's where the team looks like they are leaning. If the team was leaning toward Hutchinson, I guarantee they would be on the "Hutchinson Train."

Watch the attached video.

Aside from it being funny, it's obvious Uche is not a "company man."  He let Shad Khan have it.

He also critiques Aiden Hutchinson.
My hope is Linderbaum or Lloyd falls to 33

Mine is that every DE, DT and QB goes in the first round pushing down one of the elite WRs.

If our first two picks were Hutch and Linderbaum I'd be a very happy camper.

I know we often disagree, but I do enjoy your perspective. Hopefully you will stick around and not quit the team if Walker is drafted.

No. I gotta go if we take him. I can't take another disappointment from this team. I'm praying the rumors are wrong and they were just a smokescreen. I can handle selecting just about any player in this draft, just not Walker or Neal.

I hope you change your mind, man.  If not, at least the Bengals are good now.  If you're ever in Fort Wayne, I'll buy you dinner.

Sounds good. I have a feeling I'll be watching a lot of Bengals games this year. I do like what they've done with that team. They had a lot of weapons in place when they drafted Burrow and then added another premier WR. It still upsets me that they have 2 premier WR's (Chase and Higgins) and we have made no effort at all to even give Lawrence one.

How did you become a Jaguars fan?  Did you used to live in Jacksonville?

Wait.

You disagreed vehemently over their decision to draft Chase over Sewell.

Before then, the Bengals had an existence not too different than ours.

Let this play out.
