First four weeks:  13 pressures

Last four weeks: 4 pressures

While this stat looks terrible and it is, but you have to realise that every team we play currently is just throwing 6/7 yard slants into the middle of the field with no chance to get pressure . Our defence has been figured out and teams are exploiting it.

Anyways, who takes his spot IF he were to be traded?

I believe Smoot or Key, but then their backup(s) end up on the field more, which is potentially more risk of defensive swiss cheeseness.

Yes, I've been preaching exactly what you are saying.  It is a major contributing factor to the poor pass rush recently.
There have been opportunities for them to get home, but they've been limited by that offensive strategy as well as mobile QBs in some instances.

1 missippi.... 2 missippi.... 3 missippi.... 4 mis...

Jones had enough time to make 2 reads and then take off downfield with his legs.

The clots loss on the road was the only game that really happened with the quick poppers and slants.

We have zero interior pass rush. I don't know why you expect Allen to do it all by himself. Walker clearly needs time to develop his pass rush.

You talked about Allen being at his best his rookie year? Well he also had Calais Campbell, Marcell Dareus and Ngakoue next to him. Big difference than what hes got next to him now.

And stop with that, the TE was wide open all day yesterday. He cooked us on every one of their drives. He led them in receiving yards. Dude averaged 22 yards a catch and was running wide open on every catch.
And locals and Lageman, again, just like the lack of pass protection excuses being made for Lawrence with the deep ball. They all say this isnt the case.

You played two back to back beat up offensive lines and he had little impact in either contests. Again, Jones. 2 reads and zoom. Wilson, again, last scoring drive? Allen peaks his head inside and loses containment. Sets up the goal to win down situation.

So, have at it I guess.

I don't think he's getting traded. I can't believe the Vikings traded a 2nd and 3rd RD pick for a pair of 4th RD picks and TJ Hockenson though. With a divisional rival. That's INSANE to me.

The only way I part ways with Josh Allen, despite all my complaining and criticisms of him? I want a 1st RD pick in next year's draft and/or a 3rd RD pick from the 2024 draft. Or, I'll take a receiver with proven separation and deep speed ability with a 2nd RD pick for him.

Nothing more or less than that.

The Vikings?  I can't believe the Lions did that trade to a rival.  Crazy

Meh. All three of those teams have play off runs on their mind.

To the Chiefs? I'll take your late 1st RD pick and a future 3rd RD pick for Josh Allen. If you can't give me a 1st RD pick I want your 2nd RD pick + Smith-Schuster at WR.

To the Dolphins? I'll take a 1st RD pick or 2nd RD pick + Mike Gesicki at TE.

To the Jets? I'll take a 1st RD pick or 2nd RD pick + Elijah Moore at WR.

At any rate. It's either a 1st RD pick in next years draft or a 2nd RD pick + player for me on offense.
Can you imagine what Josh Allen would do on the Chiefs, Jets or Dolphins teams? I can't believe we are getting lapped by the other losers in this league.

All three of those teams are in win now mode. We're still trying to figure out how to win with guys like Josh Allen on the roster. What do those three teams have in common right now though that we clearly lack?

They all have an identity on offense. The Chiefs run through Mahomes and Kelce. The Jets are trying to become the run first team of the AFC East. Just like the tacks here in the South and Saleh's old team out West with the 49ERS.

The Dolphins went out and made it clear that they were going to help their 3rd year investment at QB and they did that by trading for Hill and drafting Waddle.

Right now, whether we want to accept it or not. In the grand scheme of things? We need to get better offensively. We need to get better in the red zone. We need to get more accurate in the deep passing game. We need to get better at building around Lawrence. The QB is getting more opportunities than anybody else in this sport on the football field.

The more he has around him to succeed? The better. Start winning games with an explosive offense and Josh Allen becomes an afterthought. It's just the nature of doing business in the NFL. Baalke went full tilt on the defense during the off season and they thought they could get away with Pederson in year one with Lawrence and a bunch of 2nd to 3rd at best WR's in the starting line-up.

Eight games in and they can't do it so far. They're going to have to retool their approach and way of thinking now in order to maximize any hope that we have left in Lawrence's development. And it's a fair route to take. As it's working around the NFL with similar situations.

Without going mucky and down in the dirt. Is Baalke capable?
I wonder if we will pay Allen for what he has brought to the table. Good player but he is not an elite DE. Ngouke had better numbers and production and we shipped him out and that was the right call because he does not play the run.

That's a loaded question. LOL.

Historically? He was able to build up a pretty decent defense. He doesn't really have a track record though for finding quality skill position players offensively. So, it's a scary thought if I am being honest with you.
Great trade for the Dolphins

MAN. See, that's not a BAD trade. That would have benefited us TBH. Josh Allen could have probably netted the same return. At least he can stay healthy. Bradley Chubb is great, when he's healthy.
Damn, I thought Chubb had better numbers... he seems to be having a nice season though
Keep Allen and draft Jalen Carter
