If you're talking about drafting a QB next year you're just an idiot....not saying you're saying that...but whoever is

Agreed,
we should obviously sign a proven veteran.

Can't you come up with a better excuse?

Muma lucky there. As are the Jaguars to "only" be down 20-7.
We were lucky Muma tried to avoid contact, AND the throw was bad.
Take some shots on this drive. Don't care if we get picked. At least go down swinging.

Pretty much they just started earlier this week.
So glad they didn't throw a flag.

I despise the PI calls on under thrown passes. I never understood why the offense should be rewarded for screwing up and the defender has to cede position when the WR is trying to move "back to the ball".

I can't remember the last attempted deep pass

This.

Anyone that claims he doesn't want to win seems like someone reaching at straws.     He's a billionaire.   He owns an NFL team and an EPL team.   He likes money, yes, but he wants to win.

We're on the way to having the 1st overall pick for the 3rd time which no team has done. He either doesn't care about winning or at best doesn't understand what it takes to run a successful team.

I'm just asking a question. Don't they look slower than they should? They look like they're reacting slower than they have in the previous games.
Welp, I think there's a 50/50 chance here. 50% we can get a field goal, 50% chance Trevor throws a pick or fumbles.

That's so depressing isn't it.

Not like Lawrence can't throw deep either.

Let's see what we do here.
Can we run a draw please?

(11-06-2022, 03:11 PM)JagFan81 Wrote: [ -> ]No I get what your saying and the thing that makes me angriest is we did it in 2017. We had a playoff team that was genuinely good and we destroyed it in record time. Now we have to make the long journey again and I can't fault the locals for getting fed up paying to watch this year after year.

The last 5 weeks have been rough and it seems we aren't moving forwards right now but I like Doug and think he can definitely improve us. Is he the guy to take us all the way? I hope so but he may be the guy that rights the ship. I just don't know who's out there HC wise that can fix this quickly.

We need no miss drafts and FA pickups for the roster which the FO hasn't been good at.

You don't fix this quickly, all this emotive nonsense in the fan base is the failure to recognize that simple fact.

I agree. It's definitely a process. The complication in this specific instance is the "generational QB" playing on a team that has seemingly been regressing weekly after the absolute disaster of perhaps the worst HC hire in NFL history last season.

We may disagree with getting rid of Doug, in principle, but I wonder if the instant emotional response from the fanbase to news that the team is keeping him and running this season back will cause more of an uproar than the potential gains the team may make in keeping Doug and gaining continuity.

Its an interesting philosophical debate stretching past the field. Of course, it's a debate I'd much rather we not have to entertain. But I don't think these types of issues pop up all that often in the NFL, so at least its an interesting discussion? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
