No credit that he took the lead in the first place....which most QB's can't do...and sometimes the best of all time can't always do

What are you talking about? I been talking [BLEEP] about Griffin/Herndon all week. The difference between the defense and the offense is that replacements are much easier to find for defenders, finding a QB is the most difficult thing to do in sports. If a few of our defenders suck, we can easily replace them in the offseason. If Lawrence sucks thats a much larger problem. But also expecting the defense to hold on to a 3 point lead is also being selfish when in many games, we had the chance to put a large gap between us and we throw a pick on the goal line or just drop the football.
Lol and if we lost today it would have been because of Trevor...and not the defense.... I've read this book before

If thats true then why did I sit on this thread and praise Lawrence while we still had an oppurtunity to lose?

Whatever you say. I'm not jagmvp I don't popup after a bad game to call Lawrence a bust, I just call things the way I see it. Today he was good, he played smart. Something he's rarely done throughout his short career. It's a step in the right direction. Winning the game was just a bonus. Theres a big difference when you jump out 14-0 and then fall flat for 3 quarters. Today he was good for most of the game.

Hopefully he can maintain that going forward. I'm guessing it's starting to come together for him and he'll continue to eliminate the mistakes. He may never be the most accurate passer ever but decision making is the most important quality.

I agree, his accuracy was acceptable today tho. But his decision making was the most impressive part.

His accuracy was more than acceptable. He was 80%. That’s elite

Im not judging it based on stats, but rather what i actually saw. Hes had games with a high completion pct and also had multiple over throws. Today i cant remember him making a poor throw. Statistically speaking his game against the colts was better but when you actually watch the game i think we can all agree this performance was more impressive because not only did he play great, he did it knowing he had to make those plays to win the game. Unlike the colts game where they scored 0 points and much of his play was just relaxed game manager type stuff.

The game today was the sort of thing ive been hoping we would see. Just hope it continues

Apparently the Jags themselves chose not to. Pretty weird

Generally speaking, coaches tend to want their bye week to be later in the season.  The thought is that you have more injured players and more bumps and bruises that can benefit from a week's rest.  Teams who play in Europe can have the bye after that game if they want.  Pederson preferred the option of the later bye week.

That's an impressive and depressing stat.

The TD throw to Kirk was perfect and the throw he get lit up by Farrell was huge. Knew he was going to take the hit but made the play.

The team has never had a QB with the kind of talent Trevor has, and we have a bunch of "fans" looking to bring the backup into the game rather than let Trevor continues to develop.

Well that's the problem what you see and what actually happens is not all that accurate....

His key is getting balance in the offense and not holding on to the ball. He also wasn't forcing the ball to Engram which allowed the WRs to get most of the targets on quicker, faster routes. Hopefully that continues because it makes the offense better.

Still need to take a shot or 2 deep each game though to at least make teams respect it.

Best throw of the game was that throw to Marvin where he almost took a safety but avoided it and threw a perfect ball.

Absolute DIME.

100% agree. He makes throws now that we hoped Bortles could eventually get to. Think some have forgotten how bad some of our QB's have been. They get too hung up on this 'generational talent' tag that draft people put on him and expect absolute perfection on every throw, play and week.

Lawrence will be a star, just got to be patient. I have no doubts.

Yeah it was. That duck to avoid the sack was beautiful and then the throw was right on the money. You can try and teach those things but you can either do it or you can't and our QB is growing. Can't wait to see him get better and better.

Don't know how any Jags fan can't be excited after his performance today. We came back from a 17 point deficit!

I agree certain fans took that generational talent and thought he would come in and we would be undefeated and never lose a game.... It takes time especially on a team that was so horrendous in the past

No. Don’t buy what is peddled on that. This team is back to being historically bad

Maybe you should have listened to the peddlers.  The Jaguars have already won as many games this year as last year and we still have almost half of the season remaining.  Our wins have been bigger.  Our losses have been much closer.  The Jaguars point differential last year at this point in the season was -77 and finished the season dead last with -204.  Through 9 games this year, the Jaguars are +21.  This team has clearly progressed over last year.

Bills should be looking for his replacement this off season. Can’t be making this mistake in year 5. He’s regressing.
