He has tried to rely on different people to make football decisions but every person he has trusted with that has been a horrible failure. I'm also not sure how much influence/decision making his son actually has or if the son is just overstating his importance.

The best thing they could have ever done was hire Speilman in the off season but they opted not to do that for some stupid reason. I hope if this season continues to fall apart, they reconsider and able to do that. He would be the first good football mind who doesn't disrespect players controlling football decisions in a long time.

Then he shouldn't have bought a football team without someone with him who gets it.

How many NFL owners in the past 20 years are actually football guys?

Plus if he doesn't buy the team from the Weavers, how you do know the person who does isn't actively trying to move the team? Don't forget that was before teams moved to LA and LV, so those options were legitimately still on the table.
We currently have the second highest cap hit allocated to the defence in the league, $103m. There are 3 first round picks and the first pick of the second round in it.

Is the performance by the unit acceptable given all the investment. Is it worth continuing to pump so much resource into it.

Can the DC survive based upon this
I can live with 3 there. Needed something. O starting to wake up. D need a rocket up the [BLEEP]. Time for some of them to start earning those salaries.
Score a TD after halftime amd we're right back in it
Is that the first 2 minute drive that resulted in points this season?

He's done well, just need to figure out a way to get more touchbacks on kickoffs.
This is a good situation to see the young qb and offense bring us back and get some confidence
We should play an up tempo offense. We are better when we play fast.
They need to continue letting Lawrence run the ball. It adds a dynamic element to this offense.

It's about the next two drives. If the offense can score and the defense force a punt or turnover then this might be the turning point of the season.

There isn't a pass rush, and the coverage cant hold up, so I say blitz. I like the run defense for the most part. Jags have to put some pressure on the qb in the second half and cover Adams!
If we can just score out of the half we might make a game of it

Also good for Trevor he’s making some good decisions today
The defense looks too lethargic for a home game. Bad discipline and just slow. Where has the pressure been?
Keeping our own defense off the field is the only chance of staying in this game

Agreed

Anyone that claims he doesn't want to win seems like someone reaching at straws.     He's a billionaire.   He owns an NFL team and an EPL team.   He likes money, yes, but he wants to win.

We're on the way to having the 1st overall pick for the 3rd time which no team has done. He either doesn't care about winning or at best doesn't understand what it takes to run a successful team.

Don't you think it's probably the later?   I mean...has he owned a team before?   Have the Jags had a good QB the past 3 seasons?   Have they had a lights out defense in the past 5 seasons.

He pays people to make good football decisions.   If they fail, he fires them...hires someone else.

I'm sure he's hoping he picks the right people to run his football team.

So far...I'm pretty sure he's thinking his defensive coordinator needs to have a better product on the field.
At least we're not Carolina. Pretty sure they're gonna get shut out.

The problem is Caldwell didn't pay Shaq Griffin $16.4m, he didn't pay RRH $9m.

The D players are the problem right now. Look like they don't know what they are doing or winning their battles. They aren't playing as a unit, just a bunch of individuals and they need to sort that out.

They are better than they are playing.
At least the strawberry milkshake from The Sheik is good today..
Hopefully Lloyd goes back in. Probably tired of all the suck.
