Lots of conversations happening across the threads, so here's a place to pull it all together. Enjoy!

Draft resumes at 7pm EST with the squealers on the clock.
I wanted an Olineman in the first. We got it.

Now I want a CB in the second and an interior OLineman in the third.

If Cam isn't coming back after the upcoming season that's THREE linemen we'll probably need to replace in the next two seasons, and next years draft we'll hopefully be picking really late in the first day.
If we stay put I want interior OL with the 2nd and CB with the 3rd.

If we trade up I want JPJ or Washington with the 2nd and interior OL/CB (depending on who’s available/who we took in the 2nd) with the 3rd

Agreed to the max.
Not sure if we'll trade around or not but I would think these are realistic options tonight for us to target. This is for RD2 and RD3.

Defensively:
DJ Turner - CB - Michigan
Tuli Tuipulotu - DE - USC
Byron Young - DE - Tennessee

Offensively:
Cody Mauch - OG/OT - North Dakota State
Chandler Zavala - OG - NC State
Sam LaPorta - TE - Iowa

My two darkhorse selections, meaning, if we take them, they'll probably be considered a surprise or "reach" by most pundits are:

Defensively:
Clark Phillips III - CB - Utah

Offensively:
Luke Schoonmaker - TE - Michigan

Turner and Hall are the 2 for me
Moving back into the third is very intriguing to me
To the untutored eye, with a couple of notable exceptions at other positions such as Branch at Safety... Interior O line and tight end look to be the deepest positions left in the second round... Which would be fine by me!

The question surely is who, when and how often are they going to try and trade up for!

I would certainly take this.

I can't see Washington going ahead of Mayer so if we're trading up for him to me it means Mayer would have likely just went off the board.  I'd rather get Mayer if we're going TE, but I don't dislike Washington.  My concern with him is, as weird as it may sound, is his larger than prototypical size a detriment?

I echo that sentiment. It's nice being a freak athlete and the size of a redwood tree but he's exposed to big body blows at this level. Took a toll on Gronkowski. Took a toll on Waller.

I can't disagree with you. Washington would be an amazing addition due to blocking and as a safety valve for Trevor. Diaby and Young have a lot of potential and I expect the addition of a veteran free agent pass rusher not long after the completion of this draft. Finding an upgrade at nickel will not be difficult at the end of round 3 (Turner, Hodges-Tomlinson, Martin, Brown, Moss, Blackmon all possibilities).

Lewis is still playing at a decent level and is about to turn 39

In this mock it has Washington falling to us at 56

Haha, He is much faster than Lewis but other than that hes like a Lewis clone imo.  Hes just a faster Mercedes Lewis. He would be huge for Etienne

From your lips to God's ear. Even though we need a DB or two, I want this!

Give me Carrington Valentine from Kentucky on day 3 to round it out.

Reading through the nfl analysts seem to be very enamoured with the Texans picks ... I'm not so sure myself!

Two very fine players but two players tends not to make a team... Wonder if their GM has gone for the 'big flashy move' to show everyone how big his plums are ... they've emptied the barrell for when it comes to finding someone to be blocking for Young and catching his passes or taking double teams away from Anderson! Huge weight to put on two rookies...

Baalke could have probably taken Kincaid and taken the hot take plaudits so I'll give him another tick in the credit box for taking the emotion out of it and simply taking the pragmatic approach to our first round!

I cant wait to see Harrison vs Anderson.  Hopefully Harrison can win that matchup
