Yes! Finally, a good pick!  I wanted Antonio Johnson here.

That's a sigh of relief.
Antonio Johnson baby!
Yay
He ran a 4.4 at his pro day if I’m not mistaken
Thank the heavens we have someone to compete at nickel.

Wouldn't have waited this long, but I hope he's good.
Maybe Gregory Junior or Montaric Brown are diamonds in the rough that they feel can make a leap this year?
Nice pick, some of that talent some poster was talking about..Wink

ps CBS guys think they are the show not the picks. I give them as a group an F so far.

The kid they just drafted has some good looking tape starting at nickel for Texas A&M.
I'm hoping he can acclimate quickly.
They tried getting those guys on the field last year at times in dime packages or spot duty and they both looked outclassed.

Not saying "never," but I didn't like what I saw.
Below is how scouting services ranked Antonio Johnson as a prospect in this draft class:

33rd - Sport News
37th - Draft Buzz
42nd - Drafttek
42nd - ESPN
47th - NBC Sports
53rd - PFF
54th - NFL.com
60th - SI
70th - CBS
92nd - Draft Net

We took him at 160.
Johnson was my favorite pick so far. Not sure why he dropped so much, but he's a good nickel candidate.
Haha

Agreed, my favorite pick ad well.  He had a poor combine is why he fell

Baalke said Herndon is the nickel. He thinks we are good there
Such an odd draft so far, but I hope we hit on these picks. .
Johnson could be the steal of the draft

Yea, the looked almost lost. Montaric played more than Junior. I can only remember seeing Junior in one game
Odd he dropped so far. And odd we passed on him so many times today. I guess his value isn't nearly as high as the media rankings led us to believe.

Haha. I was posting right before they drafted my fellow Aggie. He was okay in the games I saw of him, but he didn't have much consistent help on the field in the secondary.

I agree those.2 didn't play well last year, but both are young and Baalke mentioned they liked the young guys in that room at the presser yesterday. So I was wondering maybe it started to click for one of them combining back this off season. While coaches aren't allowed to see them play, I'm sure the captains are in some sort of communication with the coaches as to how guys look.
It’s really a head scratcher how he fell so far. However, why are we drafting a UF linebacker who is rated as a 7th round prospect in the 4th? I cannot claim to know much about him, so just trying to remain optimistic that we knew something the media didn’t.

Wow. Nice. Keep on drafting
Pff had him 53rd on their big board. He was a big tike steal at this point in the draft.

I'm glad that the Johnson pick has gotten some of you to untie the nooses around your ceiling fans.
