Drops are the problems just like in 2021 and before. 2022 the jags had cured the case of the drops.

You moderators are so lovable. And yet so confrontational. The team sucks because the coaching sucks. It's not an Oppenheimer movie. I'm not trying to split atoms here. I'm just trying to explain to you that Doug Pederson has relinquised responsibility to managers that do not have the talent/experience/aptitude to motivate elite athletes.
This isn't a personal thing. It's just a reality thing.
Frangie, Prisco, and Boseli are fun to listen to. But they all were wrong during the first 2 months of 2022. You realize Frangie and Prisco thought that Trevor wasn't going to make the next leap to being a franchise QB, right? Boseli was even on the fense, but he thought the team would come together.
At no point last year was the O-Line the reason we were failing. And like I said, this team's O-Line isn't the reason we aren't successful.
Bro, Love ya. You need to chill out and accept that the coaching staff is the problem. The players are the same as last year. It's the coaching staff's inability to motivate, teach, inspire that is the reason we look so bad.
And we look bad. Dude we look lost out there. And last year we looked really tight.
What changed???

Trevor used Kirk quite a bit during the KC game and this past game the distribution was almost even. Ya'll are freaking out about how bad the gameplan changed. Zay Jones was out, so Trevor targeted Ridley (7), Engram (8) and Kirk (6), Etienne (5), which is exactly what you would expect. Yes, the play calling is suspect, but obviously they aren't just straight focusing on one player (Ridley) like you guys are calling. It's the 3rd game of the season and Ridleys been out a couple of years. Dude at least deserves a year before you guys are calling for his head.

I have no idea why they are so hellbent on forcing this Agnew experiment. He is a fumble machine and it isn't working. Keep him as a return man and move on.

Can we trade Ridley for Chandler Jones and a 3rd?

That or just run him on streak plays, let his speed be the asset, he's got fumblefingers in close contact.

Question is, for which team?
At this rate I'm doubting whether we bother with re-signing him. He's gotta start making the plays or he's at risk of being left out of the plans.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something, it's more costly for the Jags to sign him than it would be for a new team to sign him. If so, that means it's almost certain he doesn't sign here. If he does well he will get more money from a new team, not from the Jags, right?

Not necessarily. I think the jags play will be to tag him. This would retain him another year but they only have to give ATL a 3

He’s definitely playing decent.
But like or not, Ridley came with the hype and pedigree of a game breaking receiver. Maybe not quite Tyreek level, but for me personally (emphasis on that) I haven’t seen those kind of “game breaking” plays yet, plays or even a game where his gameplay tilted the field or broke a game open. There is still time of course. But I’m still in cautiously wait and see mode

I don't think they can afford to tag him while leaving Josh Allen wide open to the market coming off of what will undoubtedly be his best season to date. He's on pace to set the new single-season franchise mark in sacks.
Unless they hammer something out quickly it's just too risky in my opinion. This is going to be an interesting off-season in just four months from now. A lot of decisions to make.
Josh Allen
Calvin Ridley
Cam Robinson
Then, you have to start looking at other contract extensions. Little, Cisco, Cleveland, Campbell, Williams, etc. Hoping like hell this team wins it all in February. After that? I can stomach or accept anything they decide to roster wise short of trading Lawrence away for whatever crazy, stupid cosmic reason.

Good teams can manipulate that salary cap to keep most of their key players. We shall see.
