Are you trying to say Bezos texted Trevor and basically said "you better play tonight, [BLEEP]"?

No more Prime for you!
Would be interesting to see what Rourke could do with the 1's. Zay out again, Little and Scherff out (probably), I don't like putting Trevor in behind that kind of OL. Also missing Campbell on defense. I think we're taking a calculated L tonight?

Not at all, we're going to win with the guys we have; whomever they might be.

That would be pretty sweet.  It may take some luck.

I agree Trevor should get the night off.
But I still think we have a good chance to win.

Probably he'd throw a pick or two and not move the offense much outside of an occasional off-script scramble would be my bet. A bit like a less athletic Anthony Richardson in other words.

If there's no risk to TLaw then let him play, otherwise let Beathard play and use the run game liberally. No reason to just accept a loss.

Not sure what the fascination is with Rourke. He did well against 3rd and 4th stringers in preseason but that rarely (if ever) translates to actual gameplay. Pickett was amazing in the preseason and he has been horrible this year.

Beathard is steady and accurate. If Trevor misses the game (and I think he plays), it should and would be Beathard.
About 8 hours away from game time. Prime time. Let’s go jags and show out with a win. Hopefully.

And I don’t get the confidence in Beathard.  The very definition of a game manager and not a good one.  2-10 as a starter is not good no matter how you want to look at it.  59% is ‘accurate’?

I don't have confidence in either but for my backup, I want a game manager who won't lose the game. I don't want a playmaker/gunslinger.

I want someone who will come in, execute the plays that Doug will call and then not turn the ball over. In Beathards last year truly getting playing time (2020), he was 64% with 6 TDs and no interceptions.

No confidence in either Beathard or Rourke but I think Rourke has the potential for a 3-4 turnover game if he plays.

I don’t totally disagree. If Trevor were out for several weeks, I’d want a Rourke/Minshew type guy for that. He’s got enough “it”/ gunslinger to help you win a few. But for 1 game or to finish up a game, Beathard’s skill set is better. He’s not going to make the mistakes that cause you to lose, more likely.

With our [BLEEP] o line I would much rather have someone with a little mobility.

But with any luck we won’t see either.
Have to believe Trevor won't be moving around like his normal self and I hope it doesn't effect his ability to step into throws. That being said, a 70% Trevor is better than any of the back-ups. Montaric Brown on the other hand, uh oh.

Our Oline is certainly banged up but I just don't see Beathard making as many mistakes at Rourke. Especially in a game like tonight where it'll likely be low scoring.
Trevor will play because he has to play. A quarterback has to be an example to the rest of his teammates. He has to endure what they endure. And that means playing hurt because if he expects them to play hurt, then he has to, also. Otherwise, they will lose some respect for him. And Trevor knows that. He's one of the captains. So if he can walk, he'll play.

No matter what he wants, he doesn’t have the final say.

That’s the risk/ reward of a Minshew type backup. When he’s good you go, “wow!” When his physical and decision making limitations show, “What the heck?”

I've seen this commercial on youtube before, but never saw it air on TV not that I watch a ton.  Obviously he has some beef with Farah & Farah. Whatever the reason, doing a commercial like that seems awfully petty.
