Yeah
Gross hyperbole

I'm still somehow patient about Walker and think that while he doesn't fit the role of playing edge in a 3-4 he could very well turn into a great player playing as a hand down DE in 4-3 looks and a pass rush 3-4 DE/5-tech situationally.

If Caldwell can mix in more 4-3 looks as well as shift Walker to 5-tech in more 3-4 pass rush situations - I think he'll come to life.

The unfortunate side to it is he has still not learned the technique required of a OLB/EDGE to shed blocks by NFL tackles and the hope was that if we gave him time to do this he had more upside than the other 1st pick candidate

The window on that working out is slowly closing

He's slowly turning into another Taven Bryan, i.e. a guy drafted for his physical traits but with almost no production

Btw, Taven Bryan is not nearly as bad as Jaguars fans want him to be. He's just not worth his late 1st round pick.
Adding another proven veteran like Hunter would be huge. Then Walker can just push on guards all day and maybe spy QBs or lurk in underneath coverage
Takeaways:
Defense bailed out an offense that only showed up for 2 and 1/2 quarters, and special teams whose blunders could of had us down at halftime.

Lloyd and Foye are tackling machines.

Allen is becoming elite but needs help

Depth at DB is surprisingly good

Lawrence is steady, with bursts of spectacular

The RB room is cooked if we lose ETN

Kirk is still our #1.

O Line played good enough
Allen Smoot Hamilton Walker Hunter for a DL?
It would be great if the jags pull off that hunter trade. The trade deadline is coming up.

Trevor doesn't need to be Dan Marino or Payton Manning on this team.

He needs to be Terry fricken Bradshaw..who was a great game manager.

Trevor will have the last laugh.
Y'all forgetting something

The sounds of the game this week is going to be AWESOME
I know it's been said before, but I think it needs to be re-emphasized. Devon Lloyd looks good. Really good.

And if I could make one other point, it's that we need to let rookies develop. We can't judge these guys in year one.

We are so fortunate to have a quarterback that is not only physically elite, but also is respected by his teammates. You'd never see Trevor react towards his teammates mistakes like Carr did to both Kamara and Olave. Trevor still makes some mistakes, but I'd take him right now over every other quarterback not named Mahomes.

Carr blaming everyone but himself lol

And is it just me or was he wearing eyeliner?
Like some sort of movie villain version of a QB?
Won: Four games in 18 days across three time zones in two countries. This team grinds.

That is a great summary. You have solid leadership, both in the coaches and the players, when you do that.

Pretty sure it was cramping

Also ridleys catch should of been challenged

Agreed about Ridley’s catch. His heel was over the line but didn’t touch it when the catch was made. It should have been reviewed and ruled a catch but [BLEEP] happens and everything worked out.
Someone needs to put Al Michaels into retirement. He’s horrible.

He has no emotion and he said Kirk was out at the 1 yard line on his TD when he wasn’t even close. He just doesn’t have it anymore. He’s asleep

Looks like the game has finally slowed down for him which is great news.

I commented on this at the time too. He sounded more asleep/less aware than he did when we kicked the game winner against the Chargers.

Agreed. He had a few sloppy calls during the game. He just doesn’t seem interested anymore.

He's old.  It's probably hard to get all fired up and energetic when you're that old.

The lack of emotion bothers me less than his constant wrong calls.

On the Oluokon and Kirk TDs he was confident they weren't TDs when they clearly were.

It's fine with me if he's not excited, if he just called the game correctly.

In summation, he's terrible and it's time for his retirement.

He’s been calling football games since 1971.

1971!
