I read an opinion piece this morning that had it exactly right.  We've started to enjoy hating each other.

Please don't pretend that the civil unrest you speak of is equal on both sides.

The writer of the opinion piece you read likely did their own part in the divide they speak of.

I think most people are experiencing rage fatigue. Biden and Trump are vestiges of that era. Once they’re gone, things will become a little more civil.

If Trump doesn't win in 2024, he will be back just as strong in 2028, as a "non-criminal" I might add. His base will have only grown and our grand dads RINO GOP will be another 4 years away from relevance.

If they were actually smart, they would do whatever it takes to make him win right now.
2028?!

Good god. Can we move on from these old geezers please? These old men likely shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car let alone run a country.

Both these candidates suck.
Scum love the party of pedophilia..

Yep. Unfortunately we have to deal with it for four more years.

I'll vote for anyone but cheeto-clown  -  and there will be more people like me than the idiots who think a con artist should be president.

Exactly like the last time

I wouldn't go quite that far.  There are a lot of Democrats I wouldn't vote for.  AOC, or Liz Warren, for example.
This is pretty much the consensus of what I've been seeing online about this verdict.

I was considering RFK Jr. I haven't kept up with his views in regards to Trump and vice versa. Would be an interesting dynamic though, if, the two of them could run the country together, that's assuming Trump wins and he's willing and RFK's willing to be his Vice President.

I think there's some mutual ideas between the two of them and it would be a good thing to see somewhat of a unified front with a Republican and Democrat actually working together for a damn change in our country.

You don't honestly see Trump going away if he loses in November, right?  If he doesn't win, he will be back even stronger in 2028 seeing as where this country will be by then.

No.  He'll be 81.  He has a poor diet, he's overweight, and we can already see the mental and physical decline.

But you're all good voting for the functional [BLEEP] that is Joe Biden?

Although he’s a smart guy, NYC has never attempted to pass himself off as an “intellectual”. He’s merely a person who disagrees with your political viewpoint.

Leveling petty insults over disagreements is the cause of so much rancor these days, which does nothing but create more anger and division. Take your beef up with the politicians. Attacking others who have no more control of events than you is pointless.

Can't disagree with that. I'd love to see someone younger and with political stances that fall closer to the middle.

Likely he won't run if he loses again. But the ideology that backs him is likely here for awhile.

So I can mark you down as someone that doesn't believe there are two genders like the rest of your idiotic party? That's the "ideology" I support, the ideology of common [BLEEP] sense

What ideology is that exactly? Love of country?
