My wife popped a gummy, I toked a veg, and we both sat down and watched The Sound of Music..

OMG.. Fricken awesome!! Honestly, one of the best movies I've ever seen. Maybe it was the weed, idk, but great movie!!

And we're fixin to watch that old killer whale movie called Orca.. Love that movie..

Should’ve gotten high and watched them in PIP.  “Rain drops on Orcas and whiskers on Ship captains”

Or “I am sixteen going on second whale kill”

“Do Ray me FA so whale killy”

My girls were obsessed with Sound of Music when they were little.  They must’ve watched it a hundred times.  I can’t listen to it now without wanting to stick screwdrivers into my ears.

It’s not necessarily that it was a musical.  Just the sheer number of times that my kids watch it.  They didn’t call it The Sound of Music.  When I would ask them what tape they wanted to watch they’d call it ‘the hills are alive’.

This was 30ish years ago, so there was no baby shark.  The other one that I can still hear ringing in my head when I think of those times is the theme to Fraggle Rock.  Speaking of which, that seems like it would be a blast to watch stoned.

The Incredible Mr. Limpet is a great movie to watch while high, lol. The Three Stooges Go To Mars is good too although they were never the same without Curly or Shemp. Nyuck-nyuck.

Do Revenge -- decent HS movie if you have a teenager in the house.

You shoulda put in The Hills Have Eyes and seen how they reacted

(don't do this)
Rewatched a real good movie last night..... Got the DVD in the mail and couldn't wait to put it in...... Rutger Hauer, Gene Simmons, Wanted, Dead or Alive!
Lawless --- decent. not great. it's better when you realize it's based on a true story.

not sure why but I've found movies to be better on an airplane.  perhaps, because the alternative is usually just sitting there doing nothing so having a movie offered is a real plus.

i watched the David Crosby story on a prior flight --- didn't realize what a jerk he was.

Damn, that's an oldie. The mention of Gene Simmons made me think of "Runaway" that he was in with Tom Selleck and Kristie Alley. Gene wasn't much of an actor but he certainly looked villainous when the scene called for it, lol.
Watched Goldfinger the other day. Going to watch all of the Bond movies, I've never seen them. I do love Sean Connery as Bond, though.

I tried doing that once.. Made it maybe halfway through the Connery years and lost interest lol

I really liked Lawless. I love Jason Clarke and Tom Hardy and thought they both did really well here. Not a big fan of Shia Labeouf but he kind of disappeared in the character. Guy Pearce was creepy as hell.

That chant scene in the church was fascinating. I'd never heard anything like it before.

A miserable human being in so many ways.
Have y'all seen this trailer for All Quiet on the Western Front? This looks brutal

I saw this trailer today, too. Based on the true story of a Ukrainian man who was a hippie pacifist when Russia invaded Crimea in 2014 and killed his pregnant wife. It's the story of how war turned a man from pacifist to army sniper. It looks good and got good reviews from regular movie watchers. You can rent it on Amazon Prime.
