Right now it looks like we are "on paper" good". We still have some weak areas, but what team doesn't?

We need to become "on grass" good and "on turf" good before we even begin to think about shutting down any roof access.

Can we wait for results when it matters, sir? Or, do we just go by training camp vines? #PrematureEj

However, I think you are right, we will win the South this year...

Say it often enough, it'll happen. Surely beats the limiting and sad cry for 8...

Prince is better than Colvin, his only problem is health.
The left side of the line, specifically LT is going to be a huge problem for us. I've been saying it all offseason, we had chances to upgrade but didnt.

Beachum.

Lol, what about him?

He's regarded as a top-10 tackle when he's healthy. And yeah he's not healthy now. But they gave him a contract that has an option to be a long term left tackle deal should he pan out. So I think it's incorrect to say we didn't pursue any options.

Nah man, we didn't sign Joe Thomas so clearly we didn't do anything.

You got this from two padded practices? You're already in mid season form!
It's hard to imagine the defense not being much better with the talent added. The o-line (left side specifically) is the big ? Going forward.
Aaron Colvin is better than Prince.

The left side of the line may well be a problem for us.

But my question to you is exactly how many positions-KEY positions at that-is one team expected to adequately address in one offseason?

This is a team that has seemingly managed to upgrade:

DE with the return of Fowler

CB with Ramsey and Amukumara

LB with Jack

DT with Jackson and apparently Day

FS with Gipson

RB with Ivory

Is the team perfect?  No.  But there isn't a team in the league without at least one hole on the roster.

Even ignoring the Beachum acquisition and assuming we didn't address LT or LG adequately, I would take this off season every day of the week, and at this point, there are few, if any teams I would trade rosters with.
A good defense is going to make the offensive line look much, or at least somewhat, better.  If they aren't forced to put the ball up 40 times a game, you'll be better able to keep the opposing defense off-balance.

PLUS... Bortles did OK with a shotty OLINE last season...

Surely the Oline won't be worse than last year...

psssh....

PSSH!

That's not out of the question if Beachum isn't recovered. They'll be starting almost the same line.
I haven't heard much about House. Any word?

Idk how you haven't heard anything. He's been great. Had an INT, and been covering very well. Gus said "House wants to be a very very very good corner"

If nothing else, the OL as a whole is now more familiar with the protections.

The main reason why Wiz was brought in last year is because he knew the protections.

Now when a given front is presented, the entire offense should be better equipped to adjust.
