Quote:While the supposed "leadership" of BLM is all about being peaceful and protesting peacefully, <a class="bbc_url" href='http://therightscoop.com/portland-black-lives-matter-leader-openly-advocates-for-murder-of-police-video/'>the facts say otherwise</a>.
The opening quote from the blog.
I find it interesting that the notable black "leaders" don't speak out regarding this. You all know, Jessie Jackson, Jeremiah Wright, Al Sharpton, etc.
It doesn't help matters any either that our President has a history of "jumping the gun" and accusing police officers of acting "stupidly" even when he doesn't know all of the facts regarding the situation. That whole episode is what probably launched much of the divide that we are experiencing today.
Can you cite in the article where he is listed as a leader?

Quote:Blocking the Interstate is violence. Travelers become hostages. If they have to harm their captors to escape, that is completely legal.
Again, you are only proving you don't know much about MLK, if you did you would see the parallels of the current iteration which you don't.

MLK was killed by the Administration, BLM is sponsored by the Administration. I'm still searching for a parallel.

Most sickening was the cop enabling this illegal behavior.

The parallel is that you are not for MLK or BLM

Thank you for telling me what I believe. I never would have figured it out on my own. I will come to you anytime I need to know my political beliefs.

The fact that you separate the two is what is most telling of what you believe, not what I pointed out. If you were old enough to be alive when MLK was here you would know he dealt with the same reactions you and others are having about BLM. If he wasn't in the group he would have come out in support of them. It makes absolutely no sense to say you are for him and not BLM. Posters right now saying they would push through these protesters are the same ones who would be pouring milk on protesters in Woolworth.

No, those were Democrats doing those ugly things during the Civil Rights movement. KKK were 100% Democrats. Republicans were leading the push for civil rights reforms. Learn history or be doomed to repeat it.

The group protesting and their cause is not the reason I would push through, doesn't matter a lick to me. My right to walk unimpeded is the issue at hand at that moment. Like others said, the fact that the police officer couldn't/wouldn't do anything to protect the mans right to proceed unimpeded is testimony to the wide berth that these BLM protests are receiving by law enforcement. Those folks in the video are committing a crime by blocking that sidewalk.

Sorry but I'm not buying into the faux outrage which is BLM..

Point taken, I will tone down the rhetoric. I'm really more so pointing to the fact that people are out of touch with the movement. Choosing to either ignore what is being said or accepting characterizations without doing any research. I thought we were about doing what's right. If we aren't let's just come out and say it.
