Usually a good place to start is when the large man, that gets paid to take down other very large men, is the one with any kind of physical damage....alleged over-sized ego notwithstanding.

What exactly does being the "face of the franchise" have to do with anything? 

 

Dan Skuta is a millionaire.  That's all that is required for someone to try to set up a situation where they can scream assault knowing there won't be any charges brought.  The goal isn't jail time for him.  The goal is a civil suit to get a piece of that contract. 

 

In reality, someone like Skuta is the perfect mark.  The "face of the franchise" is usually pretty insulated, and not as easy to draw into a situation where something like this could occur.  It still happens occasionally, but a scenario like this is far more likely, and unfortunately, far more common.

 

There are witnesses, and there is video of the incident.  If you set aside the accounts of his friends and hers and focus on those who were witness, and you review the video of the incident, there's a reason nothing is going to come of this.  But hey, feel free to keep banging that drum all you want.  I know you need something to stoke your cause, even if you have to make a reach like this.

So let's review what we know.

 

A girl walks up to a police officer and claims that her friend was assaulted.  According to the claim, Skuta asked for her phone number and when she refused he got mad and "hit her" or "pushed her face into a glass window".

 

According to a statement from Dan's attorney, he was with his girlfriend and verbally told the supposed "victim" and her friend to leave them and their friends alone after said "victims" were harassing them.  The supposed "victim" then struck Skuta, and the result is clear in the mug shot.  The supposed "victim" had no visible injuries and rejected treatment at the scene.

 

Witnesses say that after the confrontation, Skuta and his girlfriend walk away.  They were approached by police, and the only notable thing on the police report is that he had alcohol on his breath.  Gee... that seems reasonable being that they were at a BAR.

 

I would put money on this not even going to court.  Based on what we know, he did nothing wrong or illegal.

Large men are common. I saw a 6'11 man at the Del Mar fair. He looked strong and athletic, but he didn't play basketball. 

 

People that look like Skuta are even more common. But I get it, their is know end to straw to grasp when it comes to certain kinds of people.

My comment went over your head so let me put it into simpler terms. Dan Skuta ISN"T the face of the franchise because until this incident even I wouldn't have recognized him - let alone a women in a bar in Orlando.

It seems like I'm the only man that would take up for a women on this board. You guys do have mothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, nieces, friends, girlfriends or wives right? Or if she told you about a mediocre player on the Jag roster assaulting her she'd be a liar first and what ever she is to you a distant second? My goodness... :ermm:  :unsure:

None of the story adds up. It just screams garbage. There is no way she can win this. A guy there with his girl trying to get her number, she has no marks, denied any type of examination, etc etc.


This chick likely heard people at the bar saying he played for the Jags and dollar signs went off in her head.

I'm curious to understand your criticism to why you think Skuta is guilty when there is more evidence in his favor? Just because she is female? Is that it?
