You're welcome, sir.  Happy to help.
I figured the reason for no Oak thread in the NFL section, was because of this taking over the thread.  LET IT DIE, I want it 4ever out of my thoughts.

I'm just gonna stop you there.

I'm kidding, but you should know that network/website spins metric tons of manure constantly and makes Jacksonville their whipping boy whenever  NFL relocation comes up in the "news."

Don't take it seriously.  It's "sports infotainment."
The three franchises that recently moved did so for the same reason: to escape a lousy stadium. San Diego and Oakland had years to build a new stadium, and they didn't get it done. St. Louis had a weird escape clause in their lease that allowed the Rams to leave if the EJ Dome wasn't in the top 10 percent of NFL stadiums.

Everbank Field is a very good stadium. More importantly, The city of Jacksonville has been a willing partner in investing in the upgrades.

So what valid reason could the NFL give for moving the team?
You should watch the state of the franchise address. It pretty clearly shows the thought process behind their current goals while also talking about how important London is as a secondary market.

Khans dead set on making Jacksonville a good and profitable football market. He's invested in every area and the Shipyards project would be a huge amount of sunk cost for a city you plan on leaving.

I don't think a team will be in London for years and years. Still its not too hard for outsiders to look at Shads London interest (he owns a team over there after all) + how weak Jacksonville is as a market and put 2+2 together.
Jags aren't moving to London.. North Korea maybe.. But definitely not London..
next in line ? who was first ?

its just a practice field

arrive early oy youre late

When you look at the investments made to upgrade everything and the additions like Daily's Place with future plans for the Shipyards... I keep envisioning a grand new Trump Tower at Daily's Place... I just can't imagine Khan moving the team.

If this is about another team, I wonder about the Bills or Jets moving to London and then taking on the Patriots twice a year... once a year in London.

I dont think he meant THAT throne time
An NFL team in London will never happen. It would be too rigorous on the players and their families. When the FA period begins London will have a harder time signing players for nothing else but literally just being in London. You're asking players to reroute their lives out of the USA for a game EVERYONE else is playing INSIDE the USA. It's novelty is fine for a few games a year but a team of its own over there would fail so embarrassingly. The travel times would be insane. I dare the NFL to try this and make it a success. Will never work in a million years. What makes it work now is the fact that it's a few games a year with different teams. The novelty is perfect for what it is.

All you're really pointing out here is that it's not feasible to have a team there, but I wouldn't say it "will never happen" because technology may one day advance enough to host teams worldwide.

Inconceivable!
Citizens of Jacksonville, fear not. Your country is safe.

Unless Jacksonville becomes known as the the "Ibiza across the Atlantic". Then you're pretty much screwed.
