I'd say if Ramsey and Jack are gone and Tunsil is there I'd call up Tampa and NYG and see if we can get a 2nd or so from them and trade back.

Here's the thing. If Ramsey, Bosa, and Jack are gone, then that means Goff or Wentz is there. Trade down if you can and if you can't, take Buckner. Pretty simple.

1) Rams- Carson Wentz

2) Browns- Jack

3) Chargers- Ramsey

4) Cowboys- Bosa

 

Nightmare scenario?   Not really.  First of all, GOFF is still on the board.   Someone could very well want to trade up for him.  And if that doesn't happen, take the best player and run.  

 

There's nothing to fear.

I wouldnt take buckner at all, for one I dont think he's that good for a top ten pick, plus we have a surplus of big ends on our team as is

 

5 guys who are just about the same guy as Buckner - Malik Jackson, Marks, Alualu, Michael Bennet and Odrick

Again, with TEN out of top 5 and 2 qb's pretty much locked in 1-2 I don't see this as a lock. SD has Dunlap at LT who does have some injury problems but also is a very solid LT. They had a great RT last year who was a rookie. They got hit with the injury bug. It's far from certain he goes #3. Dallas most definitely isn't going OL.

 

It all hinges on 1 team, to say its a certainty Tunsil goes over Ramsey at 3 is not right. I'd say it's more likely than not, but if they like Dunlap and want to help the defense with a playmaker it wouldn't shock me in the least. Ramsey and Tunsil are the two best prospects in this draft.

I'm not opposed to Tunsil at 5. Keep Joeckel for now all the way up to the trade deadline when a team is desperate for a LT. We have to remember that Tunsil looks like an absolute monster of a LT.


We do need a G/C more than a T that is for sure.

I agree here.

 

Listen, Tunsil isn't the guy I want to walk away with after day 1. But if we did, and Jack/ramsey are off the board, we could do a whole lot worse. I get we need defensive help badly, but you don't overdraft someone you may not like much just to say you worked on it. If Tunsil ends up geing a top 5 premier franchise LT then 3 years from now no one is going to complain. Right now? Sure, we want defense, we don't want top players available but we want to fit needs even if we may not think they are ideal fits in this scheme/have serious question marks. 

 

If Jack and Ramsey are gone which likely means SD passed on Tunsil so he's there at 5, he just became a legit option at 5. Beachum is coming off an ACL and Joeckel is likely gone after this year. LT definitely isn't cured for the long haul, and we do have a pretty important guy behind center that we need to protect.

Yeah man, I like Bosa. We'll just have to see man. If we get one of Jack or Ramsey I'll be happy. I do like Bosa, I'm just saying I think Tunsil becomes a real possibility if he's there at 5, and instead of everyone in here being in shock it'd be smart to prepare as if he is a possibility...lol

Disagree here, I've watched plenty of tape on Bosa. I think Jack or Ramsey are definitely the two better prospects and ultimately fit a lot better, but Bosa is a top 5 prospect in this draft. I view him and Lawson a lot closer than I think most do, but I do think Bosa will be a very good DE in this league. Just don't see elite in him which is why I'm not sold on him at 5 if its between Tunsil and him.

I'd live with it either way.  I actually believe in Caldwell to make the best choice no matter who's available.

You keep saying this yet have no evidence that this is close to a sure thing. What team is taking him top 4 that's a lock? Only one team I see as a 50% chance or higher, and that's the Chargers. They could just as easily go with a stud playmaker CB/S which they desperately need over a LT in which they have an above average one in Dunlap. You keep beating the drum that the Chargers HAVE to go LT, yet they are in a better situation than we are at LT unless Beachum's knee recovers greatly and becomes what he was prior to injury.
