I just think they better take Wentz over Goff
Quote:Its going to be very tough for the QB to succeed with the Rams,I'll be very surprised if you have a winning record after the move. Will Fisher get another year because they picked a QB?

No question it will be tough counting on a rookie. I doubt Fisher gets another year with a losing record.

My point was only about focus being super helpful for things like this. If they don't pick the right guy they are already screwed. With one side of the ball in great shape, they can pour focus on the offensive side and their new QB.

Mike Vick

Mark Sanchez

RG3

Ryan Leaf

Jeff George

Not exactly a HOF list, is it?
Quote:One interesting thing about trades like these is the mindset it puts on both teams.

The Rams now have a razor focus on what they must do over the next two years. Develop our QB and keep our talented defense together.

The Titans have bought themselves a lot to manage. I think they win this deal, but bringing in that many high potential players so quickly can soak up a lot of roster spots and focus. 7 of your 53 man roster this year will be rookies picked in the first 3 rounds. Can you adequately develop all of these players at once? Can you retain them when they are coming off their rookie deals?

Interesting point. I think there's enough coaches and time for them to set a plan and develop each player. As far as contracts go, if they do hit on most of the picks, they won't be able to afford all of them once they have to pay Mariota.

It's clear that the Titans aren't expecting to win this year. Possibly a patient rebuilding similar to ours?
Isn't it nice having our QB finally!!!!!

The defense and Hurley will be great for the new QB ,just hope the media doesn't destroy him if he struggles early on.
Kudos to the Tenessee Titans for pulling of one hell of a good trade. They should be picking up a lot of really good young players in the next couple of drafts.
Tunsil at 5 would still be a fireable offense to me. LT just isn't an impact position anymore, and it sure as heck isn't 'safe'.. Even the guys who have been major 1st round hits like Joe Thomas, Trent Williams, Tyron Smith...their teams haven't done anything of note (and their QBs have still gotten hurt a lot).

Joeckel is reasonably passable at LT, and Beachum is obviously far more than passable at LT. Even if Ramsey, Jack, and Bosa are all gone I would still go with someone other than Tunsil without much hesitation. Yes, even Buckner. At least with DL you can move them around at 3/5 tech (even 1 on passing downs) and have a healthy rotation.

Tunsil round 1 and Kelly round 2 would set this offense up to be the best in the league.

Yea its concerning. If those morons use those picks wisely it could be trouble especially in this draft with the talent from 15-50 being about the same.

I was concerned at first, but then I remembered who their head coach was.

Although I get what you're saying, I just don't agree. LT is an overrated position, it isn't the top flight spot right after QB like msot thought before, but it's still important. We have a franchise QB and we need to protect him. If Jack and Ramsey are gone, and we aren't high on Bosa, what's the alternative? I like Buckner a lot but with Odrick and Malik he would be buried. Shaq? That'd be a reach by most, but if Dave likes him I'm not going to be upset. VH3? Sorry, but there's no way I'm taking him now with it being close to a guarantee with both Tunsil and Bosa being there. There's just no way. Like VH3, but not with the guys that'll be there at 5.

If Jack or Ramsey is there I'm with you, we HAVE to go that route. Bosa isn't a great fit on this defense though. I like him and he'd help, but getting a top 3 level LT would help too. Joeckel is likely gone after this year. Beachum I like but he's coming off a major knee injury, you never know for certain how he'll do. If he doesn't look like pre-injury we go into next year with no one at LT. It's not as concrete as a lot of people seem to think. I like Beachum a lot and would rather stick him at LT this year and go defense, I just wish people wouldn't be so "FIRE DAVE CALDWELL IF WE TAKE TUNSIL!" He's the best prospect in the draft. Like come on, it's not the end of the world. We have Fowler, Malik, Gipson, Amukamara, and plenty of more draft picks we'll be adding to the defense. Not smart to overdraft at #5 if Dave just doesn't like what's there.
Quote:Good thing Tunsil will be gone by the time we pick so I don't have to hear people talk about how much they like the pick.

I really hope Buckner is high on our board. He's SO good. I know he doesn't fit in great with Malik and Odrick but he's Calais Campbell with potential to be even a bit better. He'd be an impact pass rusher at 5T for us. So talented.

Him and Bosa are close for me right after Ramsey and Jack.

Your point?

I'll make a mock for you too.

My point was that if an NFL.com pundit could propose a mock draft where Ramsey, Jack, and Bosa went 2,3,4 it's not that much of a stretch to think of it as a possibility.

Anything is a possibility. Not a likely one but sure it's a possibility. All that shows me is that these draft guys are running out of things to talk about 2 weeks before the draft.
If Ramsey & Jack are gone, I choose Tunsil or trade down over Bosa
Ramsey/Jack/Tunsil/Bosa. Would be my preference at this point. Hapy with any of them though.

I have a feeling the Browns are going to throw a curve ball. Buckner at #2 maybe?
There has been a lot of buzz around CLE not going QB for a while now. Not sure why people think it's a lock. Funny how people are locking in Goff/Wentz 1 and 2 with Tunsil 3 without a doubt.

If Browns go Ramsey, that means for sure Tunsil goes #3 imo. If Browns go QB/trade down and a QB goes, I definitely think it's Ramsey.
