As I stated before, it is President Obama's duty under The Constitution to nominate a replacement.  That replacement needs to be rational and vetted by The Senate in order to go through.  Some people have floated the idea of Joe Biden, Hillary and Hillary nominating Obama.  None of those ideas are rational, and they should be blocked by The Senate.

 

A Supreme Court nomination should not be a partisan politician.  It should be someone knowledgeable about constitutional law.  It should be someone with a history of siding on both the left and the right side of political issues.

 

If the court had 9 "Justice Kennedy's" that would be ideal.

He's most certainly not the worst President in US History.  And he shouldn't have attended the funeral.  It's not unprecedented for Presidents to not attend funerals of Supreme Court Justices.  He paid his respects.  There's no reason he needed to attend the funeral.  It's a ridiculous thing to attack him over.  What would him going have changed?

Its not their job to rubber stamp his pick. It is their job based on the seperation of powers to fight for the role of the legislature if infringed upon by executive fiat, as it has been.

If you think that those things are happening now (aside from the gas which is more to do with OPEC's response to the Shale boom than anything Obama did) then you're clearly in over your head.

1.) thats because in our current system if you give up looking for work run out of unemployment benefits and go live under a bridge your counted as being fully employed (lowest workforce paticiption rate since carter)


2.) thats because of fracking, increased production by opec to drive down our incrntive to increase our own capabilities to supply, and an economy that has lacked real increase in consumer demand.


3.) we doubled the national debt and monetized even more through quantative easing.


4.) if you forefit a game it ends... Thats not the same as winning
