Quote:I'm downsizing from 4 to 2. I had 6 a couple years ago. I have trouble finding people to attend games with me. Wasted hundreds of dollars in 2015 with vacant seats. Tired of leaving the game angry and frustrated. Sending a message to Jag management........improve the on-field product or eventually lose my patronage......sorry.......I've had season tickets since day one.....

I don't have any real friends either.  All my friends are in cyber space.  I kind of like it that way.
Quote:All good. Perhaps I wasn't clear.

Now that I understand what you're asking, if I had ST I wouldn't let what's going on now affect my renewal. I think, as mentioned above the real fans would continue where as a casual fan may cancel.

I keep hearing you say real fan. Does one have to maintain ST once they already have them to remain a real fan? What if you just go to individual games? Are you not a real fan?

I should have said "die hard". But no, absolutely not. I personally feel the whole "if you don't have ST, you're not a fan" thing is ridiculous. But if you have been buying ST and still financially capable of buying tickets and your home/work/social life allows you to go and you cancel because Gus is still the coach and they've been losing then you're probably not a real die hard fan. Just a casual fan. In that case, I say don't let the door hit you on the way out.
I'm adding a ticket to the 3 I have.
Only way I'll way I give them up is if I'm gone or they are. Only missed two home games...ever.
My season tickets have been renewed for 20+ years, and will continue to be renewed regardless of who the coach is, who the owner is, who is on the field, how big the screens are, how unique the pools are, or how cold the water fountains are.  I've been a Jags fan from the start.  I'll be so until the end.  Not renewing tickets thinking that's going to send the team a message may seem sensible to some, but as the team turns the corner and continues to improve, the tickets are going to become more difficult to get, and more expensive.  In the meantime, it's still the NFL, and we're still given the gift of being able to see football played at the highest level possible.  The city was awarded the franchise.  The city earned the opportunity to host an NFL franchise, and regardless of wins or losses, it's still a privilege for a city to have an NFL team.  I'll support it until I physically am unable to do so.

Worked my way up over the years from buying tickets to games here and there, to the six-packs for several years and ultimately to season tickets in 2014 and 2015.

I'm on the fence.....although encouraged by babich being removed. I want to see who the new DC will be.

One thing that really bothered me was Dave Caldwell saying they never expected to win the first two years.

That wasn't the line they were singing when trying to sell tickets.

2016 is going to be a tight year for me and just want a little encouragement I'll see some competitive.

They ought to offer a discount to folks who have held  ST the last two years as a way of saying

"thanks for your support" during these times.

Now take this all in boys and girls. At the end if the day, regardless who's coaching, who's playing, etc. You support your team. Whether or not you like the decision or direction of the team, support the team. Threads like this are appalling because you'd never see fans of the Steelers, Seahawks, or Packers to name a few to ever waver in their loyalty to their team.
We will be renewing our 3 tickets.

Why are you entitled to a discount?  What promises came with the purchase of those tickets aside from a game being played on the field?

Cause who doesn't love discounts? :p
Quote:With the abundance of Fire Gus threads. The clear disappointment that Khan didn't fire him. The team going nowhere and heading in the wrong direction opinions.

I was curious. How many here will not renew their tickets next year because of this?

How many will not purchase tickets because of Gus still being the coach.
Implying that the people in those fire gus threads even have season tickets
I don't live in Jacksonville any longer, but I had season tickets several of my years there, despite the risk of heat stroke for half the season. Other years, I couldn't afford them. Since moving to Tennessee, I've subscribed to Sunday Ticket every season until this one, just to watch the Jaguars. I still didn't miss a game because my brother-in-law shared his access.

To answer the OP question, I will re-subscribe to Sunday Ticket again next season, because the streaming can be spotty. I expect better things. Because of the distance, that's the best I can do.

I was contemplating giving them up, not due to Gus...I just have other things I could use all that money for. I get one more year of a half price club ticket for my Son, then after that he'll go to full price.

I think they're on the verge of being good and would hate to have had the decade of my life that I spent going to the Jag games when all they did was suck. I was a teenager in the 90s and didn't get tickets until like 2006  Wallbash

I'll keep 5 in the club section. [BLEEP] you fairweather fans.

Seahawks have some of the biggest bandwagon fans in existence who came out of the woodwork the past few years. The Packers have been blessed by the QB Gods and the Steelers have a long culture of winning. Of course their fans loyalty is strong. We've had nearly a decade of complete mediocrity and bad drafts. Until Caldwell got here it appeared this franchise cared very little about winning and even with how much better we've gotten people still look at the W/L column. Not really a fair comparison and hard to criticize those who feel that way.

And they've had plenty of down seasons too. But the fans stuck in with em.
Will renew my 2 tickets, I do think they will be fun to watch next year.
And so the dead zone was birthed.
