Talent pool has gotten better every year Gus has been here and results have been the same.
There is a good chance Gus will not win 16 games in 4 seasons.

I personally would love to see the Jaguars do to the Texans what they did to the Colts a few weeks ago.
Front row seat to Paul Casey Gus Bradley's demise? Dude that's brutal. I like it!

Do it. Do it.

Quote:Of course it is. My point is, Gus is terrible and doesn't know how to win.
That wasn't your point at all, at least it wasnt in our convo. You said, "And you think offensive improvement is a result of Gus? Lol." Actually, thinking about that statement, Gus brought in Olson and Marrone. So, an argument could be made that gus did have something to do with the improvement of the offense.

It's like filling a pool with the main drain open. Just hope Dave fills it faster than Gus is letting the water out.
So does the team play the game or the coach?

Quote:So you're saying the players are the issue?Any coach that's in the playoffs would get this team 10+ wins. They are undisciplined, inconsistent, and make too many mental errors. Hell, half of our offensive drives get stalled because of a holding call or stupid penalties. Good coaches find ways to get the most out of their players, even if they're only average. Just look at the Panthers, they don't have an amazing roster but they don't make mistakes.

Honestly, the people who support Gus can't be reasoned with. The blind support is baffling. I don't get it.

You've heard from friends? So you don't spend a nickel on the team anyway...except the flea market ball cap.

Average age of the teams in the playoffs vs. the Jaguars roster?

Yes he hired them. On the second attempt.

If some of the players are saying don't use age as an excuse, should the fans?

2013:
The Jaguars allowed opposing QBs to complete 64.2% of their passes for 3962 yards, 29 TDs and 11 INTs. They allowed 2108 yards on the ground, 4.2 YPC and 20 TDs. They allowed opponents to convert 42.5% of 3rd downs. We had 96 penalties on the season. We had 31 sacks, 11 INTs and 39 TFL.
2014:
The Jaguars allowed opposing QBs to complete 65.6% of their passes for 3899 yards, 24 TDs and 6 INTs. They allowed 2033 yards on the ground, 4.1 YPC and 15 TDs. They allowed opponents to convert 42.8% of 3rd downs. We had 73 penalties on the season. We had 45 sacks, 6 INTs and 56 TFL.
2015:
The Jaguars have allowed opposing QBs to complete 65.1% of their passes for 4049 yards, 28 TDs and 8 INTs. They have allowed 1549 yards on the ground, 3.6 YPC and 14 TDs. They have allowed opponents to convert 46.2% of 3rd downs. We have 98 penalties on the season. We have 34 sacks, 8 INTs and the TFL stat isn't showing up on ESPN.com.
There is your improvement on defense in 3 years. Yes, lack of talent is a problem but I don't think this 2015 defense is THAT bad. A defensive head coach should be getting more out of this roster than we have gotten this year. I'm not expecting them to be a top 5 defense but I don't think middle of the pack is outrageous all things considered.
In terms of total yards they went from 27th, to 26th to 25th. In terms of points allowed they went from 28th, to 26th to 31st.
I did this more for my own curiosity.

We should only have a forum where the highest paying fan is the only one who can post things, and the rest of us simply observe.

Thank you for putting that together. It just underscores all those that argues for PCGB. He's a bad head coach at historical levels.

That looks at one aspect of the game. What about offense? How about points? Margin of victory/loss?
