This is a part of the plan. Accumulate enough top 3 draft picks and eventually one of them has to pan out.
Trust the process.

Yep, we are going backwards, not improving.

Does this include not getting rid of Oehser or is that still a possibility?

Well, if you're looking for a positive that's one. By keeping Gus through the end of the season we are virtually guaranteed the first pick of the coming draft.
go team...

You all know better than that. We get hot in week 14 and end up 4-12 or some such and pick juuuuuuuust after the future All-Pros all get taken.

It appears he'll definitely get the entire season. If it were me, I'd cut him as soon as it's mathematically impossible to ink 6 W's.

At least the next coach will know he gets a fair shake. If they promise him at least 3 seasons, he gets 3 seasons. Not 2.25

Next coach should get a shorter leash if the talent level is where they say it is.

Wonder how many more threads we get on this before the Bye week is up?

I think everyone is missing the key point:
Through six games in 2013-14, the Jaguars were 0-6 in both seasons; they’re 1-5 this year.
This is the proof that the process is working. The team is getting better - we've already got a win before week 7 of the season. That's enough proof to me that we need to give Gus an extension this offseason. You don't want to wait and get into a bidding war when Gus is a free agent; lock him up for the long-term now at a reasonable $8 M a year.

Anyone who has been paying the least bit of attention over the last two years and says that this team is not making positive strides is either just being stubborn or dense. Khan has also on numerous occasions alluded to the plan he bought into. This is not some new information.

What will be the benefit if we change coaches? NOTHING. What is worse is that when the new staff comes in even after the season, Blake will be back to learning from scrap. We are not getting the Wins but we are improving especially the offense.. Now the defense will improve, we are placed with injuries and it's bad luck. If we finish the season on a better note, I don't see Gus being fired at all.

I hope some people on here aren't in charge of any companies I invest in. I may be selling oranges under an overpass in a few years.

Maybe management could start with something simple like printing the schedule on the schedule page.
