Quote:How am I trolling though? All I do is present the objective facts and use them to clarify my reasoning and opinions. No one else actually takes the time to consider the facts and formulate their own argument, they just call me names and ridicule me because thinking objectively is to hard for them. I've never started threads pushing an agenda, or singled out and targeted posters because I disagree with their opinion. So how am I trolling? I'm sure a lot of you are adults, but do I really need to remind people to attack the post and not the poster?
Mariota only has 5 INTs by the way, but please continue to ignore the facts. I still don't understand the obsession with comparing a 2nd year pro who has much more NFL experience than a rookie who just made his 5th ever start. Is it because Bortles isn't the best QB from his draft class so you can't make comparisons to Carr? Or is it because Mariota has demonstrated far more 5 games into his pro career than Bortles had as a rookie? Is it the insecurity that the Titans and Colts have both found what appear to be franchise QBs and you're afraid the Jags will be bottom dwellers for another decade?
Why spend all this time on Pappy's internet machine trying to convince the Jags fan base that their QB is bad? Wouldn't that time be better served mud rasslin or bass fishin? None of us are going to change our mind just because some dumb hick from tennessee came here and posted a whole bunch of nonsense on a message board.

I know, thinking is hard when you don't have anything more than a high school education. Don't worry, I hear Applebees needs a new dishwasher.

Ok Cleetus. By the way, Mariota has shown less than RG3 in his rookie year. They are similar players except RG3, like Tebow, was able to put the team on his back and win games as a rookie. RG3 is now a backup so expect Mariota to be a backup within 3 years.
BUST.

I don't have any skin in the game here, but I find it ironic that a guy who created an ID based on a fast food chain hamburger is cracking high school education jokes and most likely serves the item that represents him on here.
Quote:If you can't have a discussion past the stat line then it isn't worth discussing.
He is on pace to eclipse almost every good to great QB in the league today when comparing him to their 2nd full year. He may one day be serviceable? I don't think you are stupid so only thing that makes sense is you are trolling or going to beat your agenda drum.
Bro I specifically mentioned multiple things that he struggled with yesterday besides the picks and you ignored all of those points only to keep defending the 3 picks. Lol who's trolling? You are like Gus you won't even address the issues head on.

It's easier to duck your head in the sand and pretend that everything is going to be okay rather than face reality. Never mind the fact that for his career he also 'projects' to NEVER win a game on the road.
Quote:And Bortles just cost the Jags another game because he throws wild inaccurate passes and makes bad decisions that lead to turnovers (costing the team points and valuable possesions, and even leading directly to scores for the other team). Not the first time he's had this type of collapse in the most meaningful moments of the game, its become a regular thing. The fact is that Bortles completes less than half his passes with only a 5.8 YPA in the 4th quarter. When the team is within a single score (meaning they still have a chance to win the in 4th quarter), he only completes 40% of his passes with a 4.2 YPA and 0 TDs. But hey, we can ignore all that because the projection of his stats looks nice. Why not the same for Manziel?
Bortles cost the Jaguars that game? Did you see that defense? Lack of running game? Terrible offensive line? You really have no idea what led to those interceptions. It could have been incorrect routes from the receivers. It's just easy to point at the quarterback.

This is not funny. He's winning.

So if we are so ready to take the blame off Bortles for the INTs, do we also take away credit for his TD passes? You can't have it both ways here.

Mariota exposed. 1-4 scrub. Shut down by the same dolphins team that got lit up by Bortles. Pick 6 cost them the game against Miami.

I'm trying to figure out where I said take away the blame for his interceptions. I'm saying there is more that goes into it than what you know about.
You are trying to go after one of the few guys on our team that shows promise for the future. Are you surprised that a lot of people think you're a joke?

You have people literally arguing that that teams would trade Brady, Brees, Rivers, the Mannings, and a host of other great QBs that have won super bowl MVPs straight up for Bortles, but I'm the joke? I've cited the facts about how bad Bortles plays when the snaps are meaningful, but they were ignored along with every other objective fact I've brought to the table.

Clearly a bust. One that cannot hold onto the football to save his life and is built like a very athletic 14 year old girl.

FACT: Mariota 1-4.
FACT: Mariota got exposed by the Dolphins.
FACT: Mariota is too skinny and can't throw deep or intermediate passes.
FACT: 0 home wins.
FACT: Mariota is a BUST

I didn't say that they weren't nuts either. There are people that are too far on the extremes either way here, but you're flat out wrong.
Look at how Bortles plays in the first half when the team has a game plan in place. Then the second half comes along and it all falls apart. Want to know why? The other team adjust and our team sits on their hands at halftime and does nothing. Bradley has admitted they make no adjustments at halftime. I've never heard of that. We made halftime adjustments in pop warner. If the other team is going to adjust to beat you and you aren't going to adjust to get better against them, you're going to lose. Our offensive output in the second half is further proof.
Does Tennessee go QB at #1 again?

His problems didn't start until the 4th quarter when the pressure was on him to respond, and the loss was a direct result of his failure to do so. I don't understand what type of realistic adjustments you can expect a team that large, with that specific and detailed of game plans to adjust within a 15 minute halftime break. There are obviously problems with the week to week preparation for game day, but the lack of execution is a major part of it. You cannot adjust for bad decisions and wildly inaccurate throws, that comes down to execution.

It wasn't "people", it was me. And the argument was what teams would do
going forward. And yes, a handful teams would trade their old QBs for a promising young QB with Bortles' upside.
If it makes you feel any better, I would assume several of those teams would also trade their old QB for the Titans' young QB too (despite the butterfingers and the adolescent female body structure)

Too bad the hicks in tennessee's front office weren't smart enough to trade up for Jameis. Instead they have a scrawny read option QB who can't win games. 1-4.
