Quote:It is going to be difficult to pass aggressively down field. Those take about 3+ seconds. The replacement left tackle only provides 1.5 seconds for the QB to operate.Somebody please tell me how Sam Young made the team???

Quote:Go back to my question. When I posted something negative about his influence on the Bills QBs, I was assured by many, including you, that he wouldn't influence the play calling.
Now when you are trying to quell the unrest, to keep from making Bradley the sole scapegoat, you spread around the blame to Marrone?
Edit: This is the thread in question, dated Mid July.
It was a short thread.

What changed between now and then?
Quote:Honest question: has Bradley completely handed the offense over to the coordinator?
I'm wondering if the plan on offense has some overall guidance by Gus.
As others have mentioned, this is a new staff on the offensive side. But they looked exactly the same as last year.
To me, it begs the question as to how much input Gus actually has.
Maybe he's more hands on in regards to the offensive philosophy than we are led to believe?

Perhaps it was simply a matter of poor execution and not any influence from Bradley whatsoever,.
Perhaps it was a poor game plan from a coordinator who didn't put together a good game plan, or did, but abandoned it in adversity.
Perhaps it was a good game plan that was ruined by poor execution AND interference from Bradley.
Perhaps Carolina played good defense.
I'm betting it was some combination of the above.
Quote:We're forced to be cautious because the receivers can't catch anything and/or injured. The tight end wasn't even looked at the entire game. Not really a single deep attempt for a big play and it was just back to small ball so the defense just sits on our routes and we have to be really cautious to avoid pick 6's.
Quote:We bunched the line as well and limited the pass patterns as well. In fairness on the pick 6, there were 4 receivers running routes but only the TE releases down field. I didn't like the route concept on the play and Yeldon ran a sloppy route as well. He is a rookie of course. The preseason also gave young players the benefit of additional reps. Yeldon was so limited in the preseason that sloppy route running isn't a surprise.
The preseason had the benefit of the defense not game planning but the plays "looked" crisp and more than stacked boxes and short routes.
