Why are their stats so important to you? I know the answer. For anyone else with a functional IQ, they're not. These are at best bottom of the roster special teams guys we're talking about. But, if you're trolling, those stats matter.

I don't think its a coincidence that our pass rush is struggling without Clem and Marks.
Idk if Branch can be anymore than a rotational guy. Same with Davis.
Observation: It seems to be that AluAlu is getting 1st team reps at DT during the lightning package in Mark's absence.
To start the season we may see AluAlu at the 3-tech with the 1s instead of Ziggy and Bennett.
Has Ziggy done ANYTHING in camp?

Hey look to be completely honest it does matter to me. I get that it doesn't to you. But rarely do you rely solely on starters to make a difference. Take hurns for example. It's not a fluke that he drops passes left and right. Yes it matters if our depth are getting positive reps and opprotunities to score because everyone is one play away. But go ahead and keep attacking my views because they don't align with yours.

I get the point you are trying to make but how likely is that the whole first team offense will get injuried and we are gonna rely on the entire second team offense. Even if JT goes out for the year, the oline is still in place with
and wideouts.
I think that is the idea everyone is conveying to you as far as realizing "what you are seeing". Its not Blake throwing to a back up or two in the second half, it's the entire second and third team, most of whom won't even be on a roster come September 1.
So far the first team offense is producing and that is the main focus. The end of the game stats are skewed because the guys who are playing really won't have a starting role come the regular season. Maybe a hand full of them will get a few snaps here or a start there but that's it.
Our first team beat their first team.

Quote:Well, funny that after their solid offseason acquisitions this year, they are considered 'worse' by the misinformed.Well... it is hard to extrapolate what they will be by what they added in the offseason...
much like with any team...
They added Marshall... but what else?
I've never heard anyone question their D...
I suppose from where they were last year, it would be possible to get worse... technically.

Very solid post. I'll leave it alone for now. I just want to see an explosive offense running or passing.

all of our starters are out, what do you expect?
have you watched our wide outs who are not all out?

That roster is good looking outside of QB, period. But QB takes the cake, I get it. Better Oline, DBs and WRs than Jags. Comparable Dline, slight edge Jets due to health. You can claim LBs and RBs edge to Jags. That's it. QB still needs proof.

Kane, I should learn to quote...

I also don't think the Jets in general are a bad team, they just have a mess at QB. They have talent everywhere on defense and some nice weapons on offense with Decker, Marshall, Devin Smith (yes, he needs to prove himself first, but I think he can be really good) and Ivory. IF they can draft a good QB next year (they will probably have a top 10 pick), I think they could be a very good team.
Aside from those plays by Leonard Williams, the Jets have looked like trash this Preseason. I now have them as the 3rd worst team in the league ahead of only the Bucs and Browns.

The Bucs looked pretty decent last night. Not sure how much of that was the Bucs and not Primetime Dalton though

Quote:What leads you to believe the drops will be fixed? Hurns hasn't improved in that department.
ARob is fine and Thomas has great hands but Hurns?
And we don't know anything about Lee. Dude is sometimes on the field. So we have ARob, who is doing good, but not great, and everyone else is debatable. ..

Yeah, the Rams have plummeted in my rankings from being #2 in the NFC West before the preseason began to #4 in their division, however, I don't have them falling quite to the bottom of the rankings. I see them now being somewhere close to the Jaguars in the mid-20s. They still have exceptional talent on that defense and have been playing overly vanilla schemes this Preseason. They might have a better showing in their third game.

Dalton was off his game or something. I thought I was watching the Texans from a couple years ago. The Bucs do have a formidable D and running game, but Winston is just so bad. Right now he's looking like the next JaMarcus Russel. They might have a shot with Glennon, but they appear to want to stick with Rus...err...I mean Winston.

Gus Bradley is not the type of coach that is going to throw people under the bus even if he truly thought they were doing terribly.

Comparing Russell to Winston even though Winston has played 2 preseason games?? Smart.
