Doesn't understand why Caldwell dismantled the roster two years ago. Interesting take.

Sounds like dukes is completely ignoring the long-term gain of all this. Its fair to not be a fan of Caldwell due to how he practically mailed the last 2 seasons in but it speeds up the overall rebuild
Ouch.  Dukes obviously isn't a fan of Caldwell's decisions.

It's the Goodell Network. You expected them to say anything positive about the Jags? They're still mad that this team isn't LA bound..

They can go pound sand..
IF it pays off they'll act like they never had this opinion.

Darryl Smith, Potroast, Mathis, Brandon Marshall... Gimme a couple others.. Montell Owens,, Rashad Jennings. We did let alot of good players go with no real backup plan. But u gotta just trust that the guys getting paid the big bucks know what they're doing

edit: just watched the segmnent. yeah, there's another. Monroe
He makes valid points it starting to seem like every guy we bring in was a backup, and now we pay them nice contracts and they come in and start and suck and we shaking our heads.

Think about it Daryl Smith, Eugene Monroe, Pot Roast,Derek Cox even Mojo all players that could have been kept and we still haven't replaced those positions.

I like the Julius Thomas signing but we kept Marcedes Lewis and cutting him would have free'd up like 5 mill that makes no sense.Lewis is trash now! Like they say Parnell was a backup, but now he suppose to come here and play great. Hmmmm Some of yall thought Gerhart would do the same last year too. We had Red Bryant who was decent, not sure why they bought Odrick in plus they resign Alualu days prior that makes no sense.Seeing how Alualu havent really been good since he been here."bust" And especially when Marks played good and we still have Roy Miller. Smh.

Since we Let Smith go we been searching every since for another good LB,I think Telvin Smith is the best LB on the team personally. Not sure how Skuta gonna look because he too was a backup! And so was House and Pierce so on..

Only proven player Jaguars bought in was Julius Thomas to be honest!

And the one backup that they needed to let go!! Is yo boy Henne ! Smh!
Sounds like Jamie Dukes likes what Gene Smith was building in Jacksonville
Daryl Smith would've been the perfect OTTO for us now, a position we can't seem to find a decent player for.  Hopefully Skuta is it.

And Jamie Dukes has a right to his opinion.  I think many people would find what Caldwell has done as crazy.... but if he has the owner's blessing, it's fine.

As long as it works out.  If in year 3 and 4 of the re-build we're still losing 10+ games/year, then Caldwell will  be considered a joke and a massive failure.

3 to 4 years is a long time. The Texans turned they win total around last year why cant the jags? Our fan base so stuck that it take years to succeed in the nfl when it dont!
Ha, he says all we needed 2 years ago was a qb

He also said the Jaguars were just a QB away when Caldwell took over.

He clearly has no idea what he is talking about.

well, this will be year 3.

I expect things to turn around.  I'm not saying an additional 3 years.

Oh, please.

Of the list of players you mention, Daryl Smith is the only one legitimately worth keeping.  Caldwell has more or less admitted his mistake on that one.

Mojo?  Did you completely miss his last year here, or what he did when he went to Oakland?  He was done.

Potroast had zero intention of playing here.  He was following Del Rio to Denver no matter what the Jags put on the table.  He made that abundantly clear.

Derek Cox?  People wanted him run out on a rail when he was here.  What did he do after he left?  Is he even in the league?

Monroe was a guy that wasn't in their plans after drafting Joeckel.  He was in the final year of his contract and was most likely hitting free agency no matter what because he wasn't interested in signing a contract as a right tackle, which was what he would have had to do to stay here.

Cutting Lewis is irrelevant as to what the team would save.  You don't seem to grasp the point that there's a floor they have to spend to over a period of time.  That money has to be spent.  This isn't a team that needs to cut players to save cap dollars, but some of you really struggle to understand this point.

Exactly.

I'd venture to guess someone fed him those talking points and he doesn't have a clue who half the players are.

A QB away?  Clueless.
If the team doesn't even come close to .500 this season, it'll be time to look for a new GM and a new head coach.

Yeah that team looks like they are just a QB away...
"This team was ready to rock, all they needed two seasons ago was a quarterback" - direct quote from Jamie Dukes.

Ok buddy, the team that went 2-14 under Mularkey was only a quarterback away from the Superbowl. What a clown.

Honestly, the only moves he really mentions are Monroe (we'd have had to break the band to sign him) and Gerhart. Gerhart is on a similar pay to Shonn Greene, Donald Brown, Ryan Mathews, James Casey etc, it's not like he's being paid like a top 5 back, we took a chance on him and it didn't pay off in year one. The guy is acting like he was a huge signing.

Potroast is overrated on this message board, there's a reason teams wouldn't pay him what he wanted and he ended up going on a cheap deal this offseason, the guy can't keep his weight down - Marks and Miller are both better players than him. Derek Cox was past it, Mojo was past it.

He doesn't praise any of the good moves or drafted players like Marks, ARob, Colvin, McCray etc.

This guy has always been terrible.  He's not very smart or analytical at all...

Basically, because we didn't bring in enough big names like Revis or Hardy, he's saying our offseason moves are bad.  He doesn't understand either why we gutted our team when both sides of the ball were just awful a couple of years ago.

Hey Dukes, get a clue...
