Quote:Also true. That would be like me trying to say for certainty if someone on this board has herpes or the flu just based on their posts.

So this is all pretty hilarious.
so that means you have to a jerk?

Quote:To the lake of fire with those people. They should feel ashamed of themselves.

Now wait just a minute here.

Please explain what you mean by "lake of fire".

That just sounds like an impossible thing for someone with AS to say or even understand.

This is why doubts are creeping in.

Quote:How can a person who takes everything in the literal sense post something like "grasping at straws" when they are not supposed to understand it?
If you would have been following along, you would see that once she learns the meaning of idioms/common sayings, she can use them,  but she has to understand the meaning and intent of them first

Quote:yes it is a VERY lame attempt...no car not in jax and you invite her to come meet you...nice....I have said several times in this thread that I'm not an expert, that I am relying only on my experience with a man since jr high school who has AS...If you don't believe her, thats fine, but you don't have to be an [BAD WORD REMOVED] hole about it

Quote:As requested in the Old Users thread, here is an easy way to plan offline get-togethers with some other Jungle members and/or tell stories about meeting them in person. Have you ever met a Jungle member in the real world or wanted to meet one of your favorite posters? If so, this thread is for you!

I forget the username, but one poster met me at my seat before kickoff on New Year's Day 2012. It was the first Jaguars game I went to.

Jagsibelieve said he wants to meet me at a game someday with the drink of my choice. I don't know if he is serious about the drink.

Even though your expert diagnosis shows she doesn't like meeting people, she herself looks open to it.
Quote:so that means you have to a jerk?

I firmly believe that we are being trolled by someone who is pretending to have aspergers. That is a pretty disgusting thing to do. If I'm correct, then yes, it gives me every right to be a jerk.
I think this thread can be summed up like this:

Most posters do understand that something is not quite right with MJF, that she is not as normal as others because of an unknown condition.

They just don't know what that condition is and have doubts as to whether it is AS or something else a bit more sinister and calculated.

So you are saying that she has the ability to understand that not everything she reads in here has to be taken literally and that there could actually be another way the words were meant?

Wait, wait, wait.

Are you tryin to say that there are NORMAL people here?

Quote:And BTW the five senses are not universal to every person.
If you have ears, a nose, a tongue, hands/feet, and eyes, and most importantly a brain, you have the five senses. This is basic to evolutionary biology. You don't have to be an expert to understand this. Even people who are blind/deaf are said to have very advanced extrasensory skills. I'm not assuming that every person with AS is the same. What makes me disappointed, is the fact that you're trying to use AS to make other people feel sorry for you while at the same time trying to make your detractors (such as Achilles and myself) look like heartless, incompassionate people. For your, and everyone else's information, I actually live with an Uncle of mine who is mentally handicapped and has cerebral palsy too. So don't you dare try and tell people like me that I'm going to "burn in a lake of fire" for questioning your AS and your posts. I've seen firsthand what real, physical, and mental disabilities look like.

I've got to hand it to you though. For someone with AS, you're very good at manipulating people and trying to make your opponents look bad by getting other people to fight your battles for you. Bravo to you ma'am. Bravo.

Samesies. My offer stand whether it be a jags game or a gators game since she is supposedly ten minutes from their stadium.

I'll drive wherever I have to. And unless proven otherwise I will continue to believe j dub is a person pretending to have something that people actually struggle with in real life.

lol.
Quote: So you are saying that she has the ability to understand that not everything she reads in here has to be taken literally and that there could actually be another way the words were meant?
I am saying that once something is understood and makes sense to someone with AS they can then use it in the same context they understand it in...

It's equally disgusting to claim someone does not have AS if they do...If you don't believe her, that's fine...I don't have a problem with that...But being a jerk because you don't believe her isn't any less disgusting than claiming someone is lying about having a disability when they do...
Quote:And he bought you a hotdog.

Later he said he was wrong about you.

He was kidding. I asked him if he was serious about buying me a hotdog and he said, "They're not that good."

How was he wrong about me?

Quote:How is he grasping at straws when you don't know if he has any straws within reach?

Apparently you missed my post about idioms. That is one I understand.

Quote:It's funny seeing how people like to go online and act like "experts" over AS who can diagnose people just by reading someone's posts alone; but have no proven medical or health related degrees or professional experience in the health field to back up their statements about JW having AS. Just because you think that you met someone in RL who has symptoms of AS, doesn't mean that they have AS or any disorder/condition.

Some of my teachers in elementary school thought that I had ADD or Dyslexia, but that turned out to be completely wrong on so many counts.

Nobody on this board diagnosed me with AS. They accept the fact that I got that diagnosis because it shows clearly in my behavior.

"Lake of fire" is in the Bible. It refers to the place whose name is a bad word. I am guessing there is a lake as hot as fire, not literally a burning lake, where the devil lives. But without going there, I will never know for sure.

I have said quite a few times I'm not an expert on AS...I have said I have a friend since Jr High that has it and that is what I am basing my posts on, not to mention reading and researching more on the subject...so stop lying about what I said...I believe I also said either typically or generally too, not ALWAYS...

Quote:The orange kitty is obviously racist since its picking on the two darker kitties...

Nonsense. In the cat world, there are no races. Orange and dark kitties are often littermates.

Rev. Al Tabbyton would like a word with you.
