Well I am glad you know how my wife should feel. A white guy telling a black person how they should feel is unheard of, right? But to the point, I already told you that there could be any number of reasons why (fear for her own kids/grand kids getting blowback from this, being ashamed of herself, etc.) she kept on with the lie until recently. I don't know the woman so I won't crucify her decision making given the time when this all sparked off.
Anything else you wish to tell my wife she should be doing? I hope it involves letting me have Sunday to not have to do some honey-do task.

I again I was telling what I would do, not you. If you could explain how a person could spark this event then change her story about it on multiple occasions while letting a self-admitted child killer go free and somehow make me not untoward about donham I'd be all about it, but no supposition.

Who said someone can't take issue with the lady? She lied and then for whatever reason, be it fear of her own death or just being an evil lady (I don't know her nor do you), kept a lid on it until now. I have only said that I get why she might stay quiet and that I don't know her motivations. You disagree. That is fine.

I don't recall yelling about it. Solid's comment got in my craw pretty good thus why I even mentioned race at all. Implying that I would sit on my hands or have some religious justification for the mistreatment of people pissed me off. I had already explained that if a cause was good enough then I would put myself behind it.

I'm not necessarily pointing to that as fact but that you came to aid of bchbunny. If my wife read what she wrote, then got "popular attitudes" then saw I stepped in, nah buddy nope. You may still feel we disagree, which is fine.

To be fair, if someone had taken the same approach with anyone else's post I would have reacted the same. I don't know the end goal. Most people could care less what someone on an online forum thinks of them or what that person's real life friends think of a post they made.

Your article so I assume you read the quotes from Till's mother. Donham is a mother, you are a mother. If it was more than the two, even more important to speak up. If they would do that to a child, there's no telling what else they would do. That's not the best time to be silent. You need a reason to forgive her, I don't. Any reason you choose is based on supposition.
