Quote:Lol why can't you? Do all players suck within the first 2 years?
Stop dude. You're seriously making yourself into the biggest idiot on the board.
No, no, no - there are so many more better candidates.

Quote:I disagree. Just because I have a different opinion than you and I look at the situation from a different perspective it doesn't mean I'm an idiot.
There are too many cases players break out in their 3rd/4th/5th years to justify calling a rookies busts in their 2nd year, (which is still not even finished by the way).
Quote:I didn't call you an idiot. But you can come off as condescending, and sometimes rude-arrogant. You can't make a definitive statement like you did with no supporting reasons and expect the jungle to accept your opinions as dogma. I suggest taking the time and explaining your thoughts.
Quote:Are you saying there are no examples of rookies taking time and breaking out after their first 2/3 years in the league? I shouldn't have to explain that, that's more common football knowledge than anything.
Quote:Lol, me too. After two years you have little impact. That is very concerning. But hey you can't judge non rookies bc it's ALWAYS too early around here. Just wait until "next year" to see what happens. It's always next year isn't it Tommy?
Every other team in the league you can see impact from their rookies and second year players, but for our team, we need to give them time to see what they can do, and then after 4 years we say bust...same story year after year.
Quote:I'm curious to test this theory if anyone is willing. Lets compare our 2013 and 2014 rookie class to 3 other teams who were in similar draft positions. Any suggestions?Oakland likely would be the best comparison.
Quote:Oakland likely would be the best comparison.
Quote:Oakland 2013
1 D. J. Hayden
2 Menelik Watson
3 Sio Moore
4 Tyler Wilson
6 Nick Kasa
Latavius Murray
Mychal Rivera
Stacy McGee
7 Brice Butler
David Bass
Quote:I've never heard of any of those scrubs... I wonder if a raider fan would look at the jaguar picks and say the same thing
Quote:probably.
Latavius Murray just had like a 90 yard TD run though
Quote:I disagree. Just because I have a different opinion than you and I look at the situation from a different perspective it doesn't mean I'm an idiot. So you're not an idiot for having a different opinion, but anyone who doesn't share that opinion with you is a " dip " ( your words).

Gotcha.
Of course people can play better after their second year, but does that mean you turn down an upgrade for blind hope that someone will make the jump? Do we not draft a CB to compete/ start over Gratz just because he MIGHT turn out good next year?
Quote:Some of it was self-inflicted though. Caldwell let go of the few good vets we had on the team.
