So a draft in which you get a franchise QB is considered a "below average draft"?

And that's not even counting Robinson/Lee at WR, LInder at G and what Colvin, Telvin, Bowanko and Storm could be.

Not a good measurement to go by. Starting on the Jaguars is hardly a feat.


I would bet a guy like Bowanko doesn't start for anyone else in this league.

Jacques McClendon was a fourth round pick. Suck on that one for a minute. Bowanko, a sixth rounder, beat him out for a job as a ROOKIE STARTING CENTER.

If we do fire him, i want an offensive minded hc whos not a rookie...

I think Bortles is going to be very good, possibly more, but at this point to label him a "franchise" QB is a little ridiculous.

Yeah, but he was a failed 4th round pick that was cut multiple times and somehow landed on this roster.

bowanko beating out guys like Brewster and McClendon is hardly a feat.

I'm not yet ready to call Bowanko the center of the future or Anything like that. He hasn't played well, which can be said about most offensive lineman this year.

No, but more is expected in the second year of a rebuild. So far we haven't seen 'more' in spite of a real QB for a change.


 

Sparano had two 7-win seasons with Henne at QB. JDR/Tucker won five games with Blaine F. Gabbert at QB (OK, one win was behind perrenial pro bowler Luke McCown ).

Not sure Harbaugh could make the playoffs with this team.  It's looking like he might not be able to get the 49ers there this year.

Only because we traded a future 2nd for 3rd Rounder Derek Cox.  


And you couldn't say it in 2010.  This is Caldwell's second year.  And Caldwell cut the garbage.  He may have cut some good, but that's going to happen.

That's actually a pretty good point. It's easy to see now too that 2010 and 2011 were even worse. But Britton busted pretty early for second rounder. Pot Roast was obviously 1 good pick. But literally all the picks sucked after that. Rashad Jennings in the seventh is kinda like Storm.

You're obviously not.  But not being OK with it isn't going to change how it's handled.  Whether you like it or not, Gus and Dave are 0 - 3.

 

This is about the dumbest thing I have heard in a while.  So, you are telling me that Gus and Dave decided when the clock started, since they had the option to sit Bortles indefinitely if they wanted to.  Well, until every fan except yourself showed up at their homes with pitchforks and rope.

 

Must be nice to have a job where there is no accountability until you decide there should be.
