Quote:What he's saying is that he'd rather have Mularkey back, since that makes him a superior coach.

Nope, thats not being said at all.

<whiff>
What all this is, is the mindless ramblings of those who only realize now that they were very, very wrong when they assumed a franchise QB would "fix" everything else that's wrong as well.

Well, now they know.  They're angry they were wrong, and now on to the next scapegoat.  After all, it's now Gus' fault they were wrong the QB would fix it all.

Then you do admit it's players, not plays.

Players?  We simply don't have them.  Linebackers, secondary... it's not there.

And the pressure/DL... it's simply adequate.

Gus isn't going anywhere, no matter what happens.

Sorry you simply can understand the situation.  That's your fault, and no one else's.
Quote:Do any of you have any talking points or posts that you have penned you want me to mention or bring attention to at my meeting today with Mr. Khan and staff? It turns out that they keep an active eye here and have chosen me as your representative to pass along the valuable football acumen that is the Jaguars message board. They will enact some of the ideas and plans laid out here as soon as practice tomorrow. Can anyone say Championship?. Finally, we will not have to settle for mediocrity. Let's do this.

I'd say you should suggest that the players wear hats more frequently during interviews. The baseball cap to interview ratio is very low and obviously our team has been performing unsatisfactorily this year. Coincidence? Maybe.
Sorry if the following question was mentioned previously.

By no means am I remotely suggesting Gus Bradley should be fired.   Yet,  who did you think would be primarily responsible for Bradley being fired at the end of this season or next season if the decision was made to replace Bradley:  Shad Khan or Dave Caldwell?

Going by his previous dealings with Fulham I would say Khan.

As long as they are worn with the bill facing forward....

Got it, should I demand that the hats be worn in any particular way? Sideways or backwards is acceptable? Bent bills? straight? Fitted, not fitted ? Details man, details. If we are going to championship I have to know the details.

edit, just read Rico's input, forward only. Check.

LOL< you and presumptions...

No it isn't admitting players, not plays.

Citing ANOTHER bad head coach in Mularkey doesn't prove anything other than Mularkey wasn't good enough either.

The roster has been upgraded substantially from when Caldwell first arrived. The coaching has not improved.

The only holes in the roster at this point are the LB corps and some of the DB. Every other team area is at least adequate in personnel and any failure in those other area is coaching related.

I disagree that Bradley is safe "no matter what". If by seasons end the team still isn't showing significant on field progress and Gus is still making the same rookie HC mistakes, he could and should be gone at that point.
Lol we are the worst team in the NFL and these apologists are still finding excuses. Laughable.

Forward is ok, but if worn with the bill facing backward it might increase overall team speed.

Blah, blah, blah... look at me starved for attention...

Same tired old schtick.

So really, by saying the roster has improved and yet the record has gotten worse... you're implying Mularkey was the superior coach.

If you disagree, then you admit a fatal flaw in your "logic" (and I use that term very generously to a fault here.)

What we've got is one of the youngest (and far from the best) rosters in the NFL.  Sorry to burst your glib bubble, but we're still another good draft/offseason away from competing.

Just because reality doesn't match your fantasy of making chicken salad from chicken excrement, doesn't make it anyone else's fault but your own.  Don't be mad at someone else because your ill-informed "predictions" weren't correct.

I blame the fans, and their acceptance of mediocrity

mediocrity would be a step up.

True.  Coaching should not be an excuse when you simply haven't got the players.
Quote:I blame the fans, and their acceptance of mediocrity

Clearly, the fans are happy with losing.  Clearly.

How dare you, as you can see there is no acceptance. They are feverishly pounding away at their keyboards to show the exact opposite of acceptance. Their keystrokes of genius proving that they will not accept mediocrity, full consistency must be had. At least 91% of full consistency.

Again with the Mularkey comment - newsflash - maybe Mularkey WAS a better head coach than Bradley - that still doesn't mean that Mularkey also didn't SUCK and have been fired too!!

That should be SHAD Khan's quote at seasons end when he replaces Bradley, lol Laughing I'd love it. It would be so appropo.
Mularkey was the worse coach.  Bradley could go winless this year, and still have as good of a record as Mularkey.  Winning just 1 game would put him over Mularkey's record.

Mike Mularkey threw his QB under the bus.  That's something that you'll NEVER see Bradley do.  Gus needs to improve, but one thing he doesn't do is the Mike Mularkey Shuffle of blame.  Which makes him a better coach.
