Quote:All of you Bradley supporters, mainly those jumping on people with negative opinions of him, please list what you'you've been impressed with thus far? What has he done well?

sit back and let it soak in...

Not a Bradley supporter, but I did think he looked like one of the best I've seen coaching the Senior Bowl.

That said, play at the Senior Bowl is overrated, and so probably is coaching. His record as a Jags coach is disappointing.

Quote:In the above examples were any of those super bowls with the head coach that started 0-6 in consecutive years?

Edit: The Bucs reached their early pinnacle with NFC Championship game appearances in 1979 and 1982. John McKay was the coach for all those seasons including the 0-22 streak of futility.

Dan Reeves took over the Flacons and started 1-7 in 1997.
Quote:Its a legitimate question. 6th choice or not you nevertheless rec'd him. So what did he do for you to consider him as a potential HC candidate?

I never claimed to be any expert on Gus Bradley when I recommended him back then. As said it was my 6th choice as all the better prospects that I knew more about were getting scooped up and Gus just seemed like one of the better leftovers and one of the so called "hot Coordinator" types at the time.
Quote:We see things so differently I'm not sure what to say.

I think we may just have to agree to disagree. Time will sort things out anyway. It's just frustrating to see this team continue to look poorly coached in week 6 of year 2. At some point we need to see a lot more than marginal improvment.

It'd be nice to see him beat a good team at least once in the first two years.

What that I wrote isn't true?
Quote:Yes.

okay which ones?

If that's all we have to hang our hat on, it's not good enough IMO.

Those super bowl winning free agents have produced a total of zero wins and a defense that is still bottom 3-4 in the league. I don't know the exact ranking and don't care to look it up.

He's hired two bad coordinators. He's made horrible clock management mistakes in multiple weeks. Defense should be his specialty, the defense should be a lot better than they are. No excuses. The sack numbers? Those are great. They still haven't produced wins or a better defense.
Has Bradley beat a team with a winning record in his 22 games here?

He hasnt even won a game against a 500 team. I think he's gone with less than 4 wins. There just hasnt been good enough play consistently in the losses. Not winning is frustrating, but never playing a full 60 minutes of quality ball is worse at this point. That was the only goal this year.

I edited it, I misread what you wrote.
That's the worst part. The bar has been set exceptionally low, and bradley cant even field a product to meet those expectations

Right,...so none of those instances of back to back 0-6 teams that went to the superbowls in several years later had the same head coach during those periods.

No, but in several of those instances the team did become successful with the same coach.

I'm not even on the fire Gus ship yet, but I find the "he's 0-3" talk hilarious.

Even if you wan't to say that last season doesn't count or whatever (though I don't agree with that notion), he's still 0-6.

He has a loosing record. That's been established but is it really fair to judge him when Henne was starting your starting QB last year? Does this year's 0-6 feel like last year's 0-6?

Is it too much to ask to at least let this season play out before grabbing the pitchforks? Obviously there was something you saw along with Khan and Caldwell to make him the choice as his HC.

It doesn't because we have Bortles. Everything else is pretty much the same.

0-6 feels like 0-6 so yeah

still had 4 blowouts  only difference is we got more "fluff" games before the bye this year.

Worse...because BB is going to cover up a lot of the deficiencies with coaching and personnel.  I'm afraid he's going to help DC and GB keep their jobs and we will never be a SB contender.

I surely hope I'm wrong.

Yes. Drafting a franchise QB tends to help a GM keep his job.

That's my point...2 below average drafts but he hits on the QB so he gets a pass.  Which, in the end, may hurt our franchise by keeping DC around.

Again, I hope I'm wrong!
