It's up to the BigMan that pays the bills
to make the decisions that need to be made.
Its his team and his ball.
I have a feeling the seat temps of all the staff is going to warm up pretty soon.
This isn't a do nothing owner like WW.

At the very least, the very least - there needs to be upgrades to this assistant coaching staff at seasons end.
Stick with me now. I see an eleven cylinder all wheel drive, sticky tires, bust your gut offensive Jaguar machine. (I'm in heaven)
Quote:You're a softer leader than I'd be.
I think its ALREADY clear regardless, that SOME changes NEED to be made - Babich demoted or replaced is a 100% necessity. Fisch isn't that far behind the 100% to replace/ demote. I know its not exactly a PC decision, but Yarno and his assistant/ this scheme might have to go as well.
If Gus balks at any one of these demands, he goes, end of story.
....and, anything less than 4 wins this season and Gus would be outta here, too.
But??? Are you a leader, either at work, coaching or in some other form? Or is this just IF you were an owner, coach, manager,MB adviser, general, teacher, part time shift leader ? But IF you were, or are, you're one hard leader vs a soft one? Does that make for a better leader? I havent read the Dale Carnegie books, so I am not up on the subject.
So, please explain, unless you dont lead, manage or run anything. Then just ignore the request. MB Leaders are a dime a McDozen
Quote:The only candidate I know of at current will likely be Jim Harbaugh. Its rumored for too long that he & the 49 ers will split after this season.
Now, just because he's the only one I know of at current doesn't mean there aren't also other prime candidates to replace Gus with. They'll start to surface as we get closer to the 2nd half and end of season.
I'd like to see Rex Ryan brought in here as Defensive Coordinator next year, with or without Gus.
As for the last sentence, are you serious? The Jags will now be a very attractive option for head coaching candidates. A good GM, combined with a young, quality franchise QB, combined with an owner hungry to win that also has deep pockets.
The Jags might be THE must lucrative current destination of any of the 32 NFL teams for a prospective head coach right now because of those combined circumstances.
And a lot of salary cap money to spend.
Top 3 in the NFL.

Right now, I'd still leave it up to Gus to make changes. I could see him taking play calling ability away from Fisch if he felt that the playcalling needed work. I could also see him taking over the Defense if Babich wasn't doing well enough. But that should be up to Gus at this point. Not Caldwell.
You're right, I'd probably be a softer leader than you. I hate firing people at my job, and I don't do it often. But you can't overreact either. You'd be a lot like the Raiders front office right now. Firing someone one after another, and hoping that the big name guy will accept your contract at some point. Andy Reid. Jim Harbaugh.
Gus's leash should be dependent on his results at the end of the year.
0 wins - Gus should probably be fired barring some crazy outcome where we keep it close in every game from here on out, but small things set us back.
1 or 2 wins - Gus should be on a VERY short leash. Changes absolutely have to be made at this point.
3 or 4 wins - Gus should be on a short leash.
5+ wins, and Gus can do what he likes.
0 wins - Just keep him. Nobody else wants to come here.
1 or 2 wins - Gus should stay, but should be fired if he doesn't go 2-2 the first 4 games of 2015.
3 to 5 wins - Gus should be on a very short leash.
6+ wins, and Gus can do what he likes.

That would pretty much business as normal wouldn't it? some staff changes I mean....stronger moves should probably be made as well barring any significant improvement. This OC just seems to be unable to react to opponents changes to what he does.
It didn't take the tacks long to change to what we were doing and they shut us down after that first drive. Don'tnow how we got things working again towards end of game but it was exciting, just too little too late.
This won't be the last time a person wins you over with charisma and personality........only to find out that there's little or nothing of any substance to support your hopes and expectations......hint ( he's president). It's time to try something different. Del Rio was a " players' coach". Bradley is a "players coach". This team doesn't need a back slapper, it needs an (bad word deleted) kicker. Nobody gets chewed out for screwing up. Everybody gets a trophy. We're staring 0-16 straight in the face, and next year doesn't look much better. As a 20 year season ticket holder I'm frankly done listening to the propaganda. Stop talking and start walking!!
Pete Carol is a players coach but knows when to kick some butt. Bradley seems like he just talks through every problem.

Maybe he should studder throw his clipboard instead.
I have no idea who Tony Robbins is. Is it a Florida thing?

Oh, Mike.

Tony Robbins is a life coach that is over joyfful and cheerful. The guy has made a fortune with books, media, seminars etc.

No, just a really bad analogy. If that.
